Jim-rat use this off season to build some muscle. Wont be hard if you add in full range of motion and pick a weight you can actually do.

yeah exactly back to God damn basics!!! If I lived in dunedin I would actually help you free and get you better honest natural results in 9 months than you had in your whole life... But I don't think your capable of following instructions and listening your ego too big and you think you know it all... Hopefully this whole Nats BS will humble you.

Nothing wrong with doing half reps most of the pros do half reps like branch warren for examaple .

you're not a pro and you're not branch warren are you!?! What's wrong with you, you can't br reasoned with.

what you read on Internet, in magazines or see on one DVD isn't what he does all the time or has done his whole life.

You need to train properly with proper form. Iv watched your training videos and your form is absolute rubbish. Yes you can throw weight around I get that so can anybody, what you are doing is moving a weight through space, you're not isolating any muscles whatsoever in your reps which is what bodybuilding is about!

People who encourage you to train like that aren't doing you any favours! Yes they are being positive and nice to your but its not in anyway helpful.

for God sakes you work in a gym and are surrounded by ppl who are meant to know what they're doing. Hell if you worked at my gym and trained in it as well the way you do id be clipping you round the ears or telling you to train elsewhere.

so what you gonna do now?? Gonna train properly?

Some of the bull shit that I have had to put with today fucks me off given that I had every right to pullout from doing nationals when I was feeling tired and run down. My mates etc have been supportive as for you smart shits could have done the same as well by showing some support instead of giving me a big slap in the face.

Come on guys. Gymrat's asked me to lock this topic too - I don't want to, but I will if I have to. So let's just see if we can keep talking this through calmly - without anyone inflaming the situation further.

Here's what I think...

Pulling out of a competition because you're genuinely not ready for it, and you're just going to make yourself look bad on stage - that's okay.

Pulling out of a competition because with less than a week to go, you're tired and fed up - well, that's not okay.

So, Gymrat and/or Rebel... which is the real reason? Rebel, have you seen photos of Gymrat recently? Is he genuinely looking so bad that he shouldn't get on stage? Or does he just need some extra support to get through this last hurdle? (And actually, I was quite impressed with the number of people who tried to encourage Gymrat when he first announced his decision.)

Because Gymrat, now's the time when every bodybuilder feels like shit - it's totally normal! :D

As far as I was concerned Gymrat was right on target to have a great National competition, yes he is tired and all that goes with dieting for a National level event, but he had done the work the last week would have been just putting the finishing touch so to speak.

I did try to work through all of this with Gymrat but he was also communicating with others including family and friends, sometimes this does not help as they have not been involved in the process or have any idea of how close he was. Their advise was supportive of him pulling out, and this I think tipped the balance.

Ah, I see. It makes sense that the family would be concerned if he's tired and fed up, but as I say - that's part of the process. For many people, pushing themselves through that is the whole point of competing!

That's a real shame if it ends because of this. Do you think it's too late to consider today a refeed day, and get back on track tomorrow with a final push?

Gymrats co workers etc just like "yeah cool whatever " to everything he says because no one gives f*ck coz hes retard and they sick of waste time listening to his stupid shit and coz he wont listen to anyone/take advice so they just agree. Like 'cool br0 youre gonna do nats' 'cool bro you not gonna do nats, good call'. No one gives f*ck and just want him to stop txting them or wasting their time talking about gay autistic sht. He just exhibit confirmation bias coz he useless c*nt and cant stick to diet so gives weight to ppl saying he shouldn't compete when he clearly should have since he spend so long dieting for it and seemed to wana do it for so long.

Don't fucken tell me what to do with my life go and get fucked
