The blame for the British Student in California that killed a few people at what was dubbed as the "California shooting" was first blamed on easy availability of guns. But now has been blamed on the god forshaken "bodybuildiing chemical" creatine.

I think it's a BB.com member trolling the Mirror, and the journalist just throwing it straight into an article because it sounds good.

In his manifesto, the killer expressed 'disgust' at the alpha / bodybuilding types, claiming to be a 'supreme gentleman god' etc. Basically the guy didnt get any relationships and went on to make a video about how he was supreme and asks why girls would not choose him. He laughs and says he will kill them.

Ugh. If anyone deserves trolling, it's a journalist doing a death knock.

I only ever did one, but that was enough. It was a pilot that had flown a small plane from here to the US (solo, I think - he was delivering it to its new owner). It crashed off the coast of Florida and he'd been killed. I was given the job of finding someone who knew him and would talk on camera. So I rang airfields up and down the country. The conversation went something like: "Hi, do you know Mr XXXX? You do? Look, I'm really sorry to tell you, but he's been killed in a plane crash. Would you like to talk on camera?"

Just one of the many reasons I'm pleased to no longer be a journalist...

Just a personal thought that I feel needs to be discussed, and is espically important in this day and age.

If you really look at the manifesto video, anybody in their right mind would say the guy was seriously fucked in the head. he was. but the question is, why? why was he fucked, and could there have been anything that could have been done about it.

This is going to be stupid, but the answer is love. not homoerotic love, but showing love and support and care for your fellow human beings. Too many people these days couldnt give a single f*ck about people who are sad, or depressed, and are quick to put them down, demean them, bully them, and make them feel that waking up the next morning will not be worth the suffering. And everyone these days will say 'it dosen't matter' 'life isnt fair' etc. but that is NOT a good thing, and although we cant change everyhting, we can still change the immediate environment that we live in. If people are sad or depressed, that happens for a reason. And the thing is, even if you say something mean to someone, it may not seem like a big deal, but what if your not the only p[erson saying that? what if that person has to be bullied by not just you, but everyone, everyday. and the thing you may have said could just be the tipping point for ending that persons life.

If people looked out for elliot, or the hundres of people feeling sad in your community (insert name) then this wouldnt have happened.

It really makes me sick to think that so many people take pleasure in making somebody elses life misserable. like just why? why the f*ck would you be mean to another person.One exeption to this is if that person is a dick to others themselves. But why the f*ck would somebody pick on an innocent person.

GyzzBrah, I think what you're saying is admirable.

And right now it seems to be a very trendy thing to say. All of a sudden, my Facebook feed has filled with people preaching universal love. I guess that's a good thing. There's no question that if we were all nicer to each other, the world would be a better place.

I can't help but be a bit cynical about it all though.

I suspect that most of the people shouting "love thy neighbour" are mean just as often as the rest of us. In fact, I suspect that the kindest people are probably the ones who quietly get on with just being kind - not the ones who need to make a big noise about doing it.

I agree with all these enlightened preachy comments (how could you not?), but I think that at best they're futile, and at worst hypocritical.

Often it's because people are miserable themselves. If you're miserable, it's good to know that you aren't the only one.
