I recently advertised using trademe to sell of some proten powder I have 'pharmasport 5kg growth'. I get this at a reasonable rate and thought I would sell some off. The listing was going good 4 x bids. When I last checked I noticed it had been withdrawn. Upon checking my email I had this notification from trademe:

Medicine and supplements

You may not sell medicine or supplements intended for human use. Items deemed to be medicine or supplements will be removed at Trade Me's sole discretion.

Since when was protein powder a dangerous product? I thought this was ridiculous.

Might have to relist and advertise as a pet supplement

I think they have stopped people selling all sorts of weight loss or bodybuilding supps. I know there was a bit of trouble with some guy selling ph's and someone else who was selling a weght loss formula which contained restricted medicines.

I guess they are being overly cautious now

Yeah you can't sell anything for fitness on Trademe.
