question regarding a supplement

Hello, I will be traveling to NZ for a few months and I will be taking some work out supplements with me (protein, creatine, BCAA, and pre-workout). I also have this particular product called 1, 3d Bomb (which can be found here http://tbnlabs.com/index.php/1-3-d-bomb-the-thermogenic-vasodilator.html) that I will be bringing with me. I'm hearing conflicting things about nz's law about this. Since this would be for my own personal use when working out, would it still be considered illegal to bring into the country?

1,3 Dimethylamylamine as a pre-workout did seem to work in most people, hence it is banned here in NZ......

yep banned since April 9 2012.

Methylhexanamine/DMAA is currently an unapproved psychoactive substance under the Psychoactive Substances Act 2013 which means that it is illegal to import, manufacture, or sell this substance without a license.

The penalties for importation without a license can lead to a term of imprisonment not exceeding 2 years or in the case of a company a fine up to $500,000.

The penalties for manufacturing without a license can lead to term of imprisonment not exceeding 2 year or in the case of a company a fine up to $500,000.

It's getting pretty late here in Cali and maybe I'm reading this wrong, but it says the effect will/has expire on April 9th. What would this mean?

its still banned. unsure if they have to renew the ban every year or not but i highly doubt it will ever be unbanned

I dont know if it is illegal to bring personal amounts (1 bottle for personal use) into the country. But if you want to be safe then yeah leave it out.

Its banned you can try to bring it in. Chances are it will be removed and you will get a slap on hand. Even if it is for personal use. Goodluck on trying.

of course its illegal. it gets seized by customs if they find it if you buy online.

whether or not they would try and prosecute you or simply seize it (if they found it and identified DMAA as an ingredient) if you had just one tub on you idk though.

my original plan was just to have it with me in my luggage, but I'm going to be staying there for a while and don't want to get in trouble with the law. but it's cool though, as long as I have pre workout I should be able to get a good workout in. Thanks for all the replies guys.
