So I'm easing back into the training and starting to up the weights after my hernia surgery on the 20th Dec 13. Recovery has taken a little longer then anticipated because it wasn't keyhole and I don't want to 'F' it up by going too heavy too soon. Max weight in my home gym is 80kg so I will look at getting back into a proper gym very shortly.

Stats:

  • Age: 23
  • Height: 178cm
  • Weight: 77.5kg

I'm thinking it's time for a post summer bulk.

Hey man, welcome back! Why wasn't keyhole an option for you?

My mate is off lifting at the moment - not just one, but three hernias apparently. Needless to say, he's not too happy about it.

I can't remember the specifics. Something about the location it was/unsure about the exact location of the hernia because of the small lipoma on top/the way the repair would have to be done/the way the lipoma would have to come out.

Yeah it's annoying. And even now that I'm back into it I'm not sure how hard I can push it yet. Do I increase the weights and just hope I don't feel anything tearing or what!? Haha.
