Tryna set up and the muppet won't get out the way lol he actually a real good dude, just no idea what's going on!

Top session! Lotsa power in the tank today. Good come back and recovery from ydays disaster. Not every session can be a good one we aren't robots and you gotta take the good with the bad. We take pbs and success then can't not expect to fail every now and then.

Failure and quitting are not the same. If you think they are, then you're not asking enough or yourself.

I want to swear at him but can't cause he doing me a favour lifting out and spotting. Staff at my gym aren't the best at times. Sometimes one staff member working and he pt at same time so if he has client there may as well be no staff working to help. Otherwise they hung over, leaving the gym to go get food. People like this guy are good we can't abuse them for trying their best.

yeah average pt or staff in gym might not see people setting up like that often.

when i wrap my knees in commercial gym the owner ask what are wraps for and did physio tell me to wear them

Anyway yeah was s good set with a paused rep on the 5th. Not far away from 4pps for 5 reps I reckon. We think well on target for 200 paused pretty comfortably come comp time. Once we get closer to the comp will decide weather it'll be 2nd or 3rd attempt is like to take 200 for my second tho.

Def feel better with the belt on for bench which I didn't have on for that feeble 200 I did the other week.

I'm not sure if he is going over or not. I think would probably be u100 class and he is stronger than me. I think next year i can be competitive in Australia but they probably stronger than me atm. They bring him and a few others in the classes over there.

But that being said people see all these lifters lifts on social media and on the forums etc... It's the competition day that matters and you need to put it all together on the platform. As you know, your total isn't your 3 best gym lifts combined it's your 3 best attempts on the competition day. I think people get sucked in and intimidated by others videos they watch... All I am going off is the previous comp score sheets. I always say what good is a 325 deadlift in the gym when you need to deadlift 315 in the comp to win and you can't get it past your knees.

So every comp is differet. Iv PB at every comp I have done and I have confidence in the smart and thought out approach wookie and myself take leading into a comp.

Good session the 280 doubles were hard on 3rd set so I dropped it to 260 for my 4th set. 305 is heaviest Iv ever pulled in the gym and was pretty sweet lift. First time in my belt on pulls. Getting used to it trying diff knotches to see what's good for myself and playing with positioning. Wanna use this for worlds to make the singles come up easier/faster.

So this 305 is really good for 5 weeks out, speed will come closer to comp. pulls are looking good! Had bit of an issue with hips coming up a little quick off the floor on this rep but just shows I strong enough on this weight to correct it easily and no big deal. I want to kick that in the arse for 340 though but it's a one off, it's not a habit. :)

Last back day for this prep I will add back assistance on the end of squats (pulldowns) and my dealift day (rows).

Assistance will drop right back soon.

Speed squats tmw then probably abit of loading on Saturday but gonna try not do much of that I want to film and help my gf and others I know lifting in it. So I can make abit of a video for you guys to put in the comp thread.

Bought new wraps they arrived Yday will start breaking them in tommorow I got these from kiwistrength.co.nz will let you know what they are like.

Also Fitwear sent me some gears today to wear to Las Vegas when I go. Pretty generous of them, not some gay sponsorship or anything just good guys giving me some stuff. They contributed to my raffle too. Here a couple of the items they sent me which I really like. Not a shameless plug just the least I could do is aware people of their generosity.

Fri 14th

Speed squats

Warm up, 180x3 x4 sets in sleeves, 200x3 x4sets in wraps

No assistance today ran out of times had to start setting up the comp. my triples moved really well, feedback is to be more aggressive. First time in the new wraps, they don't feel too bad. Breaking in.

Monday 17th

Speed squats

180x3 x8sets in sleeves

Speed bench

125x3 x8sets paused reps. I'm doing this paused cause fast bouncing is hard on my arms that coming down fast and explosively transitioning into pushing up is not helping so I come down, pause, explode up and that's much easier on them.

Lat pull down

15x4 sets

Light weights today but everything moved real well and fast. Getting used to this wide squat grip which relieves my arms completely. And allowed me to bench after.

Tues 18th

Deadlifts

Couldn't do my sldl I was wrecked after those deads. Both the 280s were strapless and the 2 600lb sets were with straps. My hands were fucked after the first 2 sets. Only put talcum powder on my legs for the last set and this made it so much smoother with shorts up I should do this for all my sets. Pulls were real good tonight getting used to the belt which is the plan moving forward. Couple of videos of set one and set 4 for you guys. Rest day tommorow then big squat day Friday looking to set last Monday's right. Prep is going really well and I'm feeling good. We are on target. Cheers.
