Day 2 of my new program .

Squats were 175kg x 5 sets of 5 beltless with SBD sleeves.  All went fairly well

Bench  132.5kg  x 5 sets of 2     This was easy . All paused and used the Slingshot compression band on my left bicep which i had been having trouble with after all the previous volume and what a beauty piece of equipment, 0 pain at all and even my speed down to my chest doubled all from a hard fabric band.

Bit of a mixed day today. Have had bugger all sleep with the flu and Hips have been sore the last few days and was going to give squats a miss. went in and did Squats and bench anyway. Worked up to a 192.5kg and then a 200kg squat beltless but through in the towel there. Had planned on hitting 5 singles @ 200 but na. Did some front squats and worked in sets of 5 from 100kg up to 130kg with a belt. Bench was 125kg x 5 sets of 5 . All paused and got though fine.

Shoulders

Seated Military Press  = 87.5kg x 5 sets of 5  

DB side laterals    15kg x 14    17.5kg x 10     15kg x 10

Rear delt machine  x 3 sets building up each time

Seated DB Press   30kg x 20     30kg x 12      30 secs rest

Skullcrushers 40kg x 15   x15  

Tri pushdowns x lots

DB curls   15kg x 5  17.5kg x 5  20kg x 5   22.5kg x 5  

Cable bi curls x lots

Deep tissue massage    x 1.5 hours   painful as fark especially on shoulders and quads

You really should compete - I think you could do well. Upper body is looking great, and your lower's not that far behind. And besides, there's always the boardshorts class. Biggrin

Haha ill give that a miss thanks . Not really the sort to pose on stage , id probably die of fear .

Felt shattered as with squats today . Squatted up to 200 on both Monday and wednesday which was silly and paid the price today. Was supposed to be 5x 5 at 180kg but it went x5 x4 x4 x4 x2.

The last set i truthfully could have pushed out 4 but didnt.

Bench was 137.5kg x 5 sets of 2.  This went well and its good to know im comfortable with this weight without a spotter near.  Still need to work on my negative as some of the initial first reps are so slow coming down .

Had to break training into 2 session's today due to work. This morning was squats .

warm ups and worked a to a 200kg single then my work set of 150kg x 3 sets of ten. Up to 160s next week.

Went and snashed down a double brick chinney to ceiling level ( cardio) then hit the bench.

130kg x 5 sets of 5 . Got through it but biceps are sore. Finished with clise grip pulldowns x 3 sets of ten heavy. Bar rows with bench width grip x 3 sets 15 very light. machine rows alternative grip in sets of 5 to failure

Shoulders and assistance

Seated military press.  90kg x 5 sets of 5   Last set was hard

db lateral raises   12.5kg x 3 sets of 15   easy

Rear delt machine 1 set

skull crushers ezi bar hands in middle on flat = 40kg x 10  45kg x 10  50kg x 2 sets of 10

Ezi bar arm curls 50kg x 10 reps controlled throughout pos and neg  pb for me

Db scott curls x 2 sets lots for a pump    

Been using the Arnold Iron Dream for my sleeping and been having messed up vivid dreams. Had an affair with Shakira the other night in one of them . Not sure if its the magnesium but its crazy and feeling well rested.

Deadlifts today . 230kg x 4 sets of 2. 4th set im not confident of lockout for sure but others were good. Had planned on 5 sets of 2 but a brutal day at work changed all that and wouldnt have gotten it had I attempted it.

Finished with a few pump sets of lying leg curls and leg extensions. Rest day then squat day then two rest days.

Trained at a different gym today so just played around a bit. Squats went up to 180 for a few sets of 5 and 4. Felt real sick so went to front squats and worked a few sets at 120 and 100 and did a 130kg and 140kg single.

finished with bench and a few singles up to 140kg. Nothing special here today . Might cruise down to the comp in Masterton this weekend for a nose at how it all works.
