Morning everyone! Hope y'all enjoying the labour weekend - been at work all weekend and stuck altering plans for people lol! Never a dull moment I always say.

Will post up the last couple of days workouts and todays but first things first; I have lost a KG! EEEEP. Will up the calories but like I said; just not now. Also woke up today looking pretty damn lean and vasculairty on legs starting to look badass! *dirol*

Also I found a picture of the overalls in my competition and I know it's only one picture but WTF. How did I lose it. Ah well, good thing I have some awesome friends who tell me to look on the bright side and focus more on the positive. This picture and one of the judges words that were said to me really gave me the closure and the fire needed to stay focused and hungry for it next time. Also saw that illuminati thing on FB today which said

"There’s no need to rush. What’s meant for you always arrives right on time." - hope this means the Mr NZL title and a Natural Pro Card in the future. LOL : ) one can only hope and train his ass off, right?

And also here are the words from the judge I was talking about

"Hi Ali, before i was a judge i new you had the potential to go far!! Frm my own personal opinion you have the most beautiful shape and structure. The perfect athletic physique! You are still so young - which in time you will hav that muscle depth and thickness of an older bodybuilder. That you can only gain with time. You are doing the right thing concentrating on mor size. In the 10 yrs I have ben involved with the sport, i hav never seen an athletic competitor with such perfect lines as yr self. Dnt be dwn about Nationals you are a champion in the making!"

I don't want that to get to my head because I want to remain with the mentality of being the underdog - I truly believe that's the only way to get ahead in your goals / ambitions with that mentality.

So without further ado, I bring to you.. My past 2 days training!

Week 1

Weight: 69.4kg

Day 6

Back / Biceps

3x9 22.5kg weighed pull ups

3x10 body weight pullups supersetted with 15kg assist

3x9 120kg lat pull downs (knees on the floor to fully focus on the lats)

4x9 Level7 weird back machine at JETTS (Lol it's like a noob back machine row thing, damn does it hit the rhomboids hard! Definitely love doing back day at JETTS!)

4x9 40kg per side Bent over hacksquat machine (Focusing on the contraction)

4x9 50kg Seated cable row (Focusing on the contraction)

Great workout, back was feeling pumped like never before, especially in the lats. I think (and some of you may disagree) but from that picture I can still get my lats to get a tiny bit bigger so definietely going to try and hit them as hard as I can in this off season

Week 1

Weight: ? Didn't check, no time

Day 7

Abs / calves

3x10 2kg hanging leg raises (Trying to get that mind muscle connection)

3x10 2kg side raises on the hyper extension

5x9 240kg Leg press calf raise

5x9 50kg - > 25kg drop set standing calf raises

All in all, quick and nice workout, calves were burning and abs definitely took a hit since I never really train them. I really dislike my abs so I want tosee if I can some how make them look better by training them directly in the off season - never relly been consistent with them so will keep you updated over time if I feel it's worth it or not. I feel like it will definitely be beneficial for like... Squats and other compound movements so yeah. We will see!

Nutrition thus far has been the same, 4,000kcal a day with the macros being similar day to day

will update you guys today after training! Going in with a friend who I haven't seen in ages, Jhoon to do some power upperbody - not sure if he knows we doing that or not but f*ck I'm doing it with or without him LOL! I want those heavy ass dips baby!!

Today's weight 69.0 eeep!

Report back soon : )

Week 2

Weight: 69.0

Day1

Upper power day

3x3 30kg Pull ups (Bloody easy but I trained with two mates and didn't wanna slow us down lol)

3x3 70kg Hammer strength row machine (Not bad from 60kg last week, my friends smoked this machine, did like 80kg... Didn't wanna look like a wimp LOL)

3x3 92.5kg Incline benchpress (I found it pretty easy, definitely increasing the weight for it, want to try and do 120 at some point) - Probably one of the things I did better than my friends at :D

3x3 60kg dips and 1 set @ personal record 70kg (Video at the bottom) - can definitely move up the weight, 60 was too easy

3x3 74kg machine shoulder press - VERY surprised that I was doing better than my friends at this... Not sure what the deal was; the usual hammer strength shoulder press is out of use so couldn't get on it

3x3 200kg barbell shrugs - man that was .. hard imo. Friends killed it, I feel like my form got shitty but if I dropped the weight it would be way too easy... Lose lose situation, will figure something out for next time

3x2 74kg Machine preacher curl - wanted to add some bicep work just because obviously I keep on bitching about my biceps, thought.. why not?

Great day and went by pretty quick just cause 3 of us so we didn't really stand there to muck around, kinda wish they would always be there so no one would talk to us and we just blitz through the workouts :) that would be aweosme BUT then again, it's up to you on whether you wanna stand there chatting ot people or not. Sometimes I don't wanna be a douche nad say "ok bro I wanna do my next set" plus... potential clients lol.

Can't wait for tomorrow power lower body, - I definitely think I've gotten laener, had a pose with the bros and they were saying the striations on my tear drops were crazy lol - definitely a good spot to be in...

Going to catch up with my mate Kate tonight after work and have McDonalds, already calculated it in for my day : ) - a bit close on my fat macros to maxing out but I'll be fine : )

Cheers everyone! Will report tomorrow!

Sup guys,

Been a bit lazy in updating - well, to be honest pretty damn busy too with work and my own little business side of things lol

Week 2

Day 2

Lower power day

4x3 102kg Standing calf raise

4x3 240kg Leg press calf press

4x3 120kg Stiff leg deadlift

3x3 14kg Glute ham raise

4x3 125kg Squat (Deep and easy :D )

3x3 247.5kg Leg press (Deep)

Excellent session, sucked at the start because kept talking to someone.. Don't want to be a dick and walk away but man, seriously contemplating this next time. There's only so much time I want to spend at the gym believe it or not. Plus can't stand it when people start speaking in jibberish, some gal telling me about her problems or something... Immediatly started to think of how I was going to execute my next posing routine for the next time I get on stage lol - Just kept nodding and when things got awkward I'd put a sentence in there like "yeah man, but what can you do eh?" lol

Later that day I went for my first EVER massage and I gotta tell you guys, I think it did me a lot of good, I feel more mobile in some areas that I I never I could be... neck can turn around more, left shoulder that was acting up doesn't give me any hint of trouble now; although it's still early days. It was awesome and relaxing. Candles everywhere and warm, might do it on a weekly basis.

Week 2

Day 3

Day off (Might stop writing day off because in reality I train biceps on this day lol)

3x8 35kg Cable curls

3x8 15kg Dumbbell incline single arm curl

3x8 17.5kg Seated hammer curl

3x8 20kg barbbell reverse curl

AWESOME pump, probably fastest and most pump filled bicep workout I've had ever. I think I am finally getting the mind muscle connection for this muscle group... I think if there is a year where I will improve them this is the year. Insane burn and it was so pumped think it took me like 30 mins to do all that so wasn't too long.

Lost more weight today, couldn't check weight because had to open up the gym at 4 am and I only check my weight after the bathroom first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. Glutes starting to get a hint of striations, nothing awesome obviously but definitely a good start if I wanted to start cutting for example. Friend was shocked when he came to see me last night, said I was still lean which is pretty cool! Will report the weight tomorrow since I got a day off :)

Today's calories is fucking rediculous... I've already had 3500 and it's like 12 pm... Those fucking quest bars are too addictive, I might stop investing in them, seriously the yhave to have something in them.. I've never craved something so bad. Had 5 today LOL. I can hold out on food though so it's all good, no biggie really but I don't want to run into this sort of scenario when I prep. Might have to bump the cals come this Fri, we shall see though

onwards and upwards though! Will keep you all updated :)

Pseudonym: Dude IKR.. Lol - I am going to bump up calories tomorrow, wanted to do so today but I want to wait another day. Here is a shot that I just took now, quads are pretty much 1-2 weeks out ... probably 2-4 since my judgement is always so shit lmao.

Obviously they aren't as good as the competition but you can see a hint of glute striations, in the left leg, and hamstrings there but not quite shredded. Feeling very energetic. Going to go to some chest, tris and shoulders.

Will report back soon!

PS: I will read that thread you linked today dude! My bad, been super busy and sometimes I forget lol

OH: Thanks bro! Can say the same about you mate.

Week 2

Day 4

Chest / Triceps / Shoulders

3x8 85kg Incline Bench press

3x8 85kg Flat Bench press

3x8 55kg Decline hammer strength

3x8 160lb Pec machine flies

3x8 87kg Tricep push down drop set to 50 then 30

3x8 62kg Hammer grip tricep push down

3x8 62kg Reverse tricep push down

2x8 20kg Front barbell raise

3x8 17.5kg Lateral raise drop set to 10 then 5

3x8 20kg Single arm lateral raise (other arm hangs off a pole or something lol) - this had some pretty yuck form goign on but still felt it

3x8 115lbs Reverse machine flies

** Skipped shrugs, didn't have time will do it on my back day**

Great workout, benchpressing felt pretty heavy but I think it was due to the bar, we got tons of bars at les mills bu there is a certain one that is fat as f*ck, like it's huge. Lots of people hate it and never use it because it's 'heavy' I'm pretty sure its 2 kg or so heavier than the normal bars there, I think I'ma keep using that bar just to keep consistency.

Shoulder isn't aching from pressing as well so the massage really helped. Stoked as, otheriwse PB on every single movment : ) - feelin full as hell man, f*ck yeah... Calories on point, everything is all good so far.

I think the improvements I see so far ( i know it's still early days from the comp) but I feel my biceps and shoulders which is exactly what I want :)  ... Chest too I believe but we will see when I compete next!

One thing with the workout today is I think I strained my neck a little doing the 87kg tricep push down, in my last set my triceps were so fatigued I had a huge power struggle (some sort of dragonballZ shit) and I felt my neck cramp ... Will be mindful of that next time. Last thing I want is an injury... Also had a look at some of the natty pros and f*ck they look amazing... But without sounding cocky, I feel like one day I can make it up there next to them even if I look the worst. Never been so inspired and motivated after the Nationals, blessing in disguise for sure.

Back to work... Never a dull moment!
