TFB I like the second vid Biggrin Got any of women in 63kg class? Smile Is that a class, or is that just in weightlifting..

Dinahlady will be working the strict stuff only on it Smile I could hardly steer a steering wheel for a week after Aggressive stupid shoulder.

In PL, the women's weight classes are Under 43, U47, U52, U57, U63, U72, U84 and 84+.  

In Auckland there'll be strong Kiwi women in most of the classes, both equipped and unequipped.

Yeah, story of my life as I seem to be injuring myself every few weeks when I'm stressed out! 

I just do what I can or stick to the "safe" exercises for a lil whilte - less overhead stuff, or more neutral/hammer grip, and things like external roation or rear delts. 

And for scar tissue shoulder maybe myofascial release/massage?? everyone who lifts could probably do witha good massage so what a good excuse right? :) (see, there are silver linings to injuries!)

For motivation, coming live to Manukau, Kimberly Walford is guest lifterer at Oceanias, just popping in to break some world records, probably lifting Saturday 7th, here she is recently at the Arnold, narrowly missing a 240kg dead, she is in the -72kg class, and yes RAW!

 

She's got a Titan Velocity deadlift suit on, so it's not RAW. Think you may have been confused by the description saying she's the IPF Classic/raw world champion. And 137lbs is 62kgs so she's in the U63kg class for this video.

 

Still a crazy lift. That's hella impressive even for a male.

Cheers Leeroid, yep that was an equipped lift. She's definitely down on the lifters list as an un-equipped U72 for Auckland with a raw deadlift of 221kg, 476kg total.

Strict Press:

5x5 @ 20

5x5 @ 25

5x10 @ 25

Db Shoulder Press 5x10 ascending weights

upright row 5x10 

 

Today Deadlift:

5x5 @ 60

5x5 @ 70

5x 8 @ 80 < This annoyed me as I could do more but it was SO HOT, and no chalk in shiny gym land so the bar just kept fucking slipping. Silly fat bars.

 

Did some good mornings, was wearing tights, bad idea. Then some rows.

 

finally completed week one :P

Also notes from today, there was this mega dick squatting in the cage thing as I arrived, and it's really the only place to do deadlifts too. So he walks away leaving his 50kgs loaded and im like 'oh hello (wanker) are you finished with your "squats"' (as they looked more like really weird looking goodsquatmornings?) and he's like 'unf' which I took to mean yes, so I'm like OH OK ILL JUST UNLOAD ALL YOUR WEIGHTS FOR YOU, JERK.

Good story.

Bench:

3 @ 30

3 @ 32.5 (was meant to be 30)

12 @ 35 <- yay

 

DB chest press 5x10 using 10s and 12.5s

Pushups 3x10 focused on chest to ground, no hips touching (so functional bitches)

Was going to do dips to but felt a bit fried by then.

Everything hurts today - in a good way for once!

Squat day - had to really talk myself into going today as I finished work at lunch time, and well... food. Even though I'd already had 2 breakfasts and a snack *wacko*

Back Squat

3 @ 60

3 @ 65

6 @ 75 thought brain was going to explode.

 

Front Squat 3x10 @ 40kg

BB Lunge 5 sets 10 30kg

Leg Curl 5x10 up to 40kg

 

Thought about doing abs, but realised I'd already done them with squats. In and out in like 40mins and then it was OATS TIME. Yay.
