healthy breakfast suggestion?

wife gets up early to go to work and doesnt have time to have breaky at home.. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions of a healthy protein bar etc she could buy for breaky..   I have been looking at all sorts but they either seem high in sugar, or fats or lack fiber etc etc.

Just trying to find something that is generally healthy for breakfast that she can eat at her work desk... Obviously a bowl of oats and skim milk and protein powder isnt going to cut it.. Might get spilt on the bus on the way to work lol...

Any one got a fav eat on the run suggestion for breaky?  Any suggestions guys?

If you're really that strapped for time I'd do up a shake. Whey, oats, banana, egg, yoghurt, peanut butter and milk. Takes no time to make and you can throw it in a shaker and go.

Seriously though I start work at 8 but I get up at 5 so I've got time to go to the gym, get home have a good cooked breakfast, get my shit together and then go to work. I'd rather be late for work than miss breakfast.

Why not? I eat oats at my desk every morning. Can make that stuff at work easy. If she must make it at home then be a champ and buy her a container with a lid on it. Pretty extreme I know but hey it works.

Hitro she works in an office and I dont know if they would appreciate some one chowing down on a bowl of cereal while everyones working.. was kind of thinking of something that was a little less conspicuous..

Souldfate, a shake may not be a bad idea.. I'll throw that suggestion at her and see how it goes..  Actually, not sure why I didnt think of that myself...   probably the obvious answer..   thanks for the suggestions guys.

heh heh, nah, not jelly,  its  a proffessional office...  She supposed to go there to work, not eat her breaky..  Needs to be something inconspicuous or she's going to have the big bad boss standing over her wagging his finger.. :-)

Skip breakfast because its not the most important meal of the day like many say and have a larger mid morning meal or lunch.

The time of day you eat is far less important than just getting the foods/macros in a day that fit her goals/lifestyle.

If she doesnt want to eat breakfast don't eat breakfast:)

Hey mate, Im with you 100% on that..  I dont eat anything but a spoonful of peanut butter and a couple of fish oil caps for breaky myself.  I usually eat my breakfast of oats, milk and protein powder right before bed.. So yep, I totally agree with you..

She's more or less gone with what you have said. Instead of stopping at the local cafe and buying a scone for breakfast she has taken the advice of a previous poster and has a drink of up and go..  Its not what a lot would call a proper breakfast but shes happy with it and its enough to fill the gap so problem solved.

I do appreciate every one that has contributed sensibly..

cheers guys..
