Cool. Likewise my mobility, hips in particular is terrible. Probably because I spend a good amount of time a day sitting down in lectures, on the bus, train. Been looking at trying yoga to improve mobility, my gym has yoga classes but I don't want to go just yet. I've also had a look at those youtube yoga vids and I just get...um distracted lol Do you also have sore wrists after watching these yoga videos? ;-D

Got a oly plate trophy bar cheap off trademe, should be good accessory for some upper body gains if i use it right i guess.

 

food : increased intake slightly again, mainly from rice - easier for me to increase carbs than protein but i'll put more effort in to increasing meat intake eventually too. maybe food volume is getting too high since losing more of the abs but i guess i'll give it two more weeks before trying to dial anything down as still lean enough IMO. no junk foods in ages, today and yesterday been mostly lazing around at home so been eating every 2 hours and starving right around that 2 hour mark.  my liver must have been really dirty or something to have been blocking my appetite like that lol, makes sense i guess since i did take in a crapload of alcohol.

 

physique wise delts and chest improving greatly. chest upper and center thing showing those details, not sure if called striations or what , but its a good sign my upper body finally growing.  couldn't capture it at the perfect tricky angle/llighting to make me look real big since wanted to focus on capturing that sternum filling gains

forgot to write after sessions up here each day, cbf writing up the weeks training, nothing dramatic or spectacular. eating going alright. weighed in at 65.1kg. almost 2 kilo up from 3 weeks ago and still relatively lean, can't complain. went to bench workshop held at Miada, was great to be back there. picked up some solid benching tips from hamish, namely controlling bar on the way down, how to stay tight, engaging lats. finished off session at miada with some mandatory stone lifts, log press, tyre flips etc. don't really get to play with that kind of stuff at gyms closer to home!

 

done a relatively easy bench PB (81kg) paused, didn't push up before the press call this time so now the PB actually counts :-D

 

joints are still on and off but overall better. left hip started to flare up again as well as the center of chest (sternum) seems to be experiencing inflammation. these were not instigated by any kind of exercise to my knowledge, kinda just wake up feeling 'em so would be part of my my amazing genetics/birth 'gifts'. wide grip benching doesn't hurt so keepin at it.

 

went in to gym today trained up bunch of chest stuff cos really been itching for hyptrophy. love the way my shoulders look and feel when pumped, especially after some side raises. prob gonna switch to doing each bodypart twice a week with 1 heavier session and the other hypertrophy session as suggested earlier on this thread.

mean Monday session at the gym. didnt use the bumper plates i normally use, just the shitty metal ones as was at different stand but goddamn it felt different... re these shitty metal plates way out of calibration or am i just becoming a beast? was planning to do 100 for speed reps on deadlifts but ended up moving up to 140 and even that felt easy as pie aside from shitty bar being slippery (didnt bring straps or chalk).  finished up with accessories. eating been going well.

 

had last session with counsellor today she said im on the right track with hobbies and focus on positive stuff , confirmed power lifting basically fixed me and no longer concerned about my well being so let me go.

 

My 5 weeks light block is just about coming to an end, pretty much cant wait to smash up some musclebuilding type routines for next few weeks while i focus primarily on bench (and also eating ofcourse)

last weeks other 2 sessions included legs session (with squats up to 120) and high reps bench session. that concludes the 5 weeks going easy for joints. they aint feeling as crap as before, partially due to weather getting warmer i guess so time to go all out again.

 

deadlifts today was mean as , very easy triples with 160 and 180kg and then a single of 190kg. . done it in the gym too with shitty as thick gym bar (barely any bend/whip) so confident that i still got my 200kg (was paranoid i would lose it since barely been lifting heavy for ages). people were looking at me like i was a freak #feelsgoodman

 

Back to some mixed hyptrophy/heavyish work - 'powerbuilding' ?

OK trained chest twice this week , feels good tho.. probs will be recovering for days after todays one. Trained with a mate so bit higher than my usual volume/training style but I'm sure it will all be beneficial in the end towards a bigger chest/bench!

 

Keen to put in some work towards Squats or Deadlifts tomorrow or Monday.

Quick one with mate today. He has joined forum not sure if will start a journal or not.

 

Plan to deadlift tomorrow or Wednesday. Hips playing up hard today but managed through it , wasn't overly horrible. No wraps/sleeves today got them knees warmed up nicely and tripled 120 on squats to legit depth which is a rep PR. Considering at comp i almost fainted after grinding out 130, I'm stoked at repping 120 complete raw. Got some wraps will have to learn to use them eventually but look forward to breaching 150 and beyond in the near future (even tho i may look like a dick using all that for only 150). Knee caps were feeling out of place on leg exts so took the weights down and just went for easy sets to finish up.

Bench - slow getting that technique in. Tried to use slingshot but couldn't figure it out. Stopped cos delts were feeling buggered.

Starting to feel pretty strong, had been a few hours since last meal and work drained me a bit but still went in and done bunch of triples with decent weights with decent speed (no grind sets) on deadlifts. Doing triples at pretty much 3x bodyweight regularly in training now feeling more confident about my strength for end of year UPANZ DL comp now. Not too sure about how to smartly programme this moving forward, might go back to wookie method keeping it simple but then i'm also thinking to just keep doing what I'm doing because that is giving me gains too. Moved up recently to snacking less but eating 4 main meals a day, sometimes 5. Usually most of my meals are at home with only 1 meal, sometimes 2 during working hours.

weighed in at 66.5kg at doctors scales so getting some legit gains, not necessarily good ones but anyway.. saw different doc since last one wasnt that helpful, explained my nausea after eating/vomitting issues. initially accused me of taking "steroidal protein powders" which apparently cause these issues in people, i pulled some bs about being a strong hindu who doesnt put up with cow abuse so refuse to take protein powders as they have roids + they give the cows roids. doc then gave me some pills (domperidone and omeprazole) saying it will provide temporary releif while they investigate. will refer me to some gastro specialists who will take samples from my crap and stuff to find out what is wrong with me since problem been going on since 2013 atleast when i first reported it in their logs.  hope to get to the bottom of this soon!

Omeprazole stops your proton pump producing stomach acid so stops you producing too much stomach acid which can give you problems, which can cause heart burn and indigestion. Domperidone is for nausea, people take it when they are on chemo and it helps breast feeding mums... Might get some milk bro! Lol.

 

doctor probably trailing those out on you to see if that's the problem. Neither have side effects so safe as bro. Hopefully it is, then it's an easy fix and not a big deal. good work on going to the doctor!

ayy @Realtalk what all this talk about proton pumps i had to google that haha. it seems like the stuff is working so far, not sure if only temporary fix or will provide full time releif. still waiting for that referral from doc may have to chase up tomorrow.

 

Decent volume training session today, nice and quick too only 1h15min. Was able to manage this all real quick and still feel energetic after gym i guess thanks to the extra calories.

hah, i was doing that earlier but have since swapped to clean bulking from advice on this thread and am so much better off for it. making decent consistent progress right now.

 

worked quite late last night couldnt be bothered gym by the time i got home since just ready for bed. in to gym today and was so damn strong, stronger than i was on comp day and i havent even done anything to prepare for this. carbs are defs kicking in. done rep PB with 120kg (6 reps) on squats. 1RM at comp was 130kg so pretty confident i'll smash that, didn't use sleeves/wraps either so looking forward to testing max squat in a months time or something. anyway stopped the session early since right knee was getting a bad feeling.

ya i said i would talk less and eat/train more but fk it , not my finest hour right now spent most of day indoors feeling shit for no real reason so heres my life story right now cos nothing better to do.

 

turned 27 on monday was pretty decent weekend, even got sung happy birthday to by non family members for first time since i was 9. been generally having a pretty good time but dunno, shit goes in roundabouts i guess. getting weirdly stricken with loneliness and like im some kind of weirdo outcast. i can have a pretty good time with people learning to mingle around slowly and be less awkward and shit but when i get home and its just me for whatever reason i crash in tears.

 

need lessons how to be more alpha, inb4 i turn in to gyzzbrah ;\

 

at least the meds been working well to keep food in me.

 

been keeping up with eating and training consistently still, not going down without a fight this time.

 

txtd mates who i know go out regularly to see if they wouldn't mind awkward fgt like me join in. backup plan is just get wasted alone at home

FoTR, some lessons to be more alpha:

- If single get a partner so you are not lonely.

- Stop giving a f*ck about what you think others think

- Stop using antidepressants. If you need some, get on Bupropion. It's a pretty mean stimulant / antidepressant. Kind of like speed mixed with ecstasy mixed with duromine all mellowed down a bit.
