@Realtalk thanks bro appreciate your support and taking time to read this even though i flip out and write wierd shit every few weeks

Last few days pretty hard work / training so taking today off. tomorrow either squat or deadlift depending on what the knees tell me when i hit the gym. kinda liked the last high rep/low weight leg sesh, very easy on knees and hips in comparison to triples.

still eating really well. noticed slight difference in bodyfat but nothing to worry about yet. will regulate it if i notice significant fatness as goal is to put on quality mass slowly not just fat bulk and cut later.

Hey bro, it's definitely more frequently than every few weeks unless your definition of few is <2. Good that you write stuff down though rather than going out and raping or whatever.

knees weren't absolutely horrible today so done bit o legs. squats up to 80 for sets of 8 then couple sets of 100x5, pyramid down to lighter weights higher reps then leg press, leg extensions. hip starting to play up again too, not particularly ideal training conditions but on the plus side i figured out some kind of mind muscle connection with biceps and chest recently and will soon be an upperbody warrior

problem is already been recommended by 2 of them that im aggravating problem myself, joints are deteriorating rather than strengthening over time, dont lift blah blah. that was 2 years ago so will eventually revisit with recommendations from this forum of a proper sport physio when i get frustrated enough but not keen on paying all that dough to be felt up a bit and told to stop lifting. money prob better spent going underground asking for what kind of pine pollen reverses this process lol

Lol all what dough? It's all covered by ACC if it's an accident. Most physios have like a $20 surcharge for ACC visits. Some have no surcharge so it's entirely free. It's really quite cheap for what you're getting.

do you think you're a bit of a hypochondriac bro?

Do you warm up and do any mobility/stretching?

so i just have to say was an accident? what would sound legit?  i made mistake of admitting they get sore sometimes when i wake up even if i dont train so wasnt under acc. recall paying in the ballpark of $70+ per visit. also have surgical cover health insurance from work but again only if caused from accident apparently... ideas? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

*** just a dear diary, not gym related post. skip if looking for training log lol.

lifes been pretty stable and good for a while now, maybe even a bit too good. been acting all confident and shit in most aspects, voice seems to have gotten deeper and louder and less things bug me. just go around doing my own thing and kind of feel slightly above neutral happyish. any bets on how far away my next breakdown is? :-D

sleeves and chest area on shirts are getting tighter so some definite growth there, just been doing light hypertrophy stuff for legs since not going too heavy atleast they'll eventually grow a bit right, well thats the hope.. not even pissed about withdrawing from upcoming comp, heaps curious about keeping on figuring out this thing called life and how to enjoy it.

i think the change in attitude/believing myself has some weird magnetic effect, more and more people are coming up to me and talking to me about shit at work and i'm feeling strangely satisfied from human interaction, like i'm learning about people/making friends and i'm talking about myself to them too instead of when i used to think of myself as uninteresting/not worth talking about in person. i know this won't last for ever and i'll go around that circle again but each time i fall i get a little better at bouncing back up, to how i want life to be instead of getting stuck in that self pity state.

food problems started to come back recently maybe the meds lose effectiveness over time. just as well my specialist appt is not that far off now, next friday will have some tubes all up in me (hopefully just through the mouth....) to check it all out. kind of excited about having this finally dealt with.

gastroenterologist appointment revealed some answers. really goes to show you should be actively seeking the professionals if you think something is wrong. have changed doses around of meds and taken biopsy for which results should be with my gp in 2 weeks.

endoscope revealed everything else is mostly normal except for erythema in lower third of oesophagus and hiatus hernia was present. says the hernia explains all my symptoms and can be managed through medication.

overall was an unpleasant procedure but a very short one.  havent been advised to change around diet much, just to try have several smaller meals rather than bigger meals - so no more buffet attempts :) for now no surgery recommended. cause unknown.

been advised to avoid very heavy lifting which causes high pressure in abdomen area and could make it worse. havent put too much thought in to what i'll do about mmy training for now but initial thoughts are just to switch over to hypertrophy stuff not training for anything in particular. i still have fun in the gym and the physical activity is great stress relief.  have joked about it a bit before but might actually be worth my long term health taking up yoga for a little bit.

You could join Jimmybro on the bodybuilding stage, mate.

Or take up a singing career. :-D

haha maybe if this eating issue is perma fixed , for now i belong no where near a stage!

another week has passed of fairly consistent training, though admittedly it was all upper body. for some reason i have lost complete interested in training legs. i havent worn shorts to gym in ages, i wonder why.. ;)

hernia is being controlled quite well by increased dosages of meds. i have become noticably fatter (look bigger but lost abs) which is not necessarily a bad thing and was my goal so things are going well. i just need it not to get worse which it wont since docs will help me monitor it.

dont jinx me @Realtalk lol . nah legs will be all good, fingers crossed. not been hard squatting/deadlifting for a while now and my day to day sense of leg health walking around etc is so much better, way less random niggles. dont intend to lose that quad size though and its better to stay somewhat active than not train them at all so will still train them once every few days just not super heavy. went in for legs today. im just worried atm about making hernia worse by heavy deadlifting all the time so playing the waiting game.

training today standard gymrat leg stuff excluding half squats

  • found a variation of leg press where my glutes fired up then progressively worked in a bit until i found a good balance of overall leg use.
  • light high rep leg extensions
  • seated leg curls
  • calf raises
  • walked to and from gym

lots of sets, lots of reps, stretching afterwards. its on my to do list to invest in some kind of yoga classes next year.

just light easy stuff on legs recently and back in to cardio (though it's the boring stationary type), lower body is feeling much better now. feel less like a robot that needs oiling on the hinges lol. started gettting relatively leaner again, stomach being moderately controlled by meds tho i haven't been pushing the appetite as hard as i should.  another week of work until 2 weeks of holiday, plenty downtime / road tripping to look forward to :)

first workout of 2017 come at me. gonna hit up basic bench /back routine at home.

66kg still,  legs are thinner and arms are bigger, still leanish so i guess its safe to say i lost muscle in legs and traded it for upper body.. not complaining :P .  upper body actually look like i lift now with singlet or shirts on even when i'm not tensing or pumped. received a few compliments about that this xmas break which has given me just the boost in confidence/motivation i needed to train even harder this year. workouts are still more hypertrophy focused, gonna try suss out surgery for hernia via my health insurance provider just gotta get another consultation. meds keeping it under control for now but dont want to be on those meds for the rest of my life.

mosquito bite helps me look even more swole. might keep some mosquitos handy next time for pre progress pic tactical bites. been focusing on triceps a lot lately (biceps not so much.. ) and it's taken a few months but the progress is showing now.

subaru + above quote mate how badly are you trying to be racially profiled hahaha

welcome back

haha i'm a living breathing 'typical' indian ay , no denying that :P over trying to be anything i'm not anyway so just go with the flow now, guess i'm finally accepting being me.

having said that, my legs are not crap just yet! got a decent enough tear drop and they are still decent sized. 56cm measurement / 22" just below mid thigh. my waist size is 77cm, when i wear jeans/work pants that match my waist size the quads pop out so. i'll make sure to train them enough so i don't actually start looking like a cricket player :-D i'm short with long gorilla arms i can reach my knees without bending my back, never thought i'd accomplish arms that fill my shirt sleeves lol

as stereotypical as it is, subaru has kept me heaps busy recently man. brings real joy when i drive it. scored a mean deal off a mate who used it for track but needed fair bit of work to make it road legal so spent most of my free time last few weeks working on car getting it up to scratch for cert moving things / fabricating brackets / cleaning up etc.. almost there!
