Hey, is a $25-$29 heart rate monitor/watch from the wharehouse good enough to monitor heart rate etc?(only online tho) Where else would I look to buy one? Rebel sports and stirling sports have them at $100+

The Warehouse is selling Timex watches for under $30? Damn, I'll have to get down there!

Timex is a bloody good brand, so as far as the hardware goes, you should be fine. The only question I'd have is whether a watch-style heart rate monitor is the best. I had a feeling I'd heard the ones you strap on your chest are much more accurate.

Then again, for $25, how accurate do you need to be?

For future reference, I got a new Polar FT4 shipped to my door for $104 off of Amazon when the kiwi $ was around 79c ?? I think. Quite a bit lower than what they were retailing for at the time ... around $175-$190.

Good no nonsense heart rate monitor. I'll take a look at these to, can anyone report on them? I want to get one for my dad, for casual exercise.
