Replying purely based on my opinion Holdenman (not as a Mod or expressing any thoughts of the gymnation team).Why would we ban him? He hasn't contravened any site rules as far as I'm aware.  If we banned everyone with a conviction (or even a drug conviction) you'd find a surprising number of members disappear, after all the forum is just a representative cross section of society. Just to illustrate the point his wasn't the only members court case in the news this weekend for the record! To be fair, whatever his motivations were, he was probably one of the more helpful (& polite!) members that shared knowledge in the AAS sections, particularly around PCT. Although I don't know him that well he has always been friendly and respectful to friends of mine and has supported bodybuilding in general attending a large number of shows I've been at. The courts & reporters have had their day now I just wish him well with his health and making the most of it with his family & friends. In my humble opinion it's yesterday's news and not something the Mod team need to waste time on.

Unsure as to why "YOU" in particular should be taking a moral stance over this issue?

Considering the court nor the administrator of gymnation have accused him of selling on here why should he be banned from this site?

Without a demand there wouldn't be a market of supply, therefore in your opionin should those that have asked to be supplied via PM on here be banned? 

In which case I would be happy to post up names of all those that have PM'd me over the years, especially one in particular..!!

Whoever the reporter was is a bit of a Kent.

 

Also how could you ban someone who has had a HUGE input into nzbb and who has helped so many of us here , whether it be anabolics, training, diet, or even contest prep. He had a strong presence here and in the sport if bodybuilding as a whole. Drugs is just part of it.

I couldn't have put it better myself Chemo, without his incredible knowledge and input NZBB wouldn't have been what it was in the last 3 years I have been a member..

I wish him all the best for the future, however long that may be....

I would like to just clarify that at no time did I ever use this site or NZBB to transact any deals & as far as I am aware, it is in know way compromised by my actions. It was always my intent to give advise to the best of my ability & experience & that was primarily my objective in the business that I became involved in. I apologise to anyone that I have offended or let down. Good luck with your training & lifestyle goals & aspirations. It has been a pleasure & honour to have had worked with some of the best athletes in performance sports in NZ.

musclenz... Personally I want people like yourself on these boards. Very sorry to hear of your illness, trully hope everything goes well for you. You sound like a wise man, I doubt you have done much to compromise anything. Hopefully you will continue to give advice on a subject that is important to us, without these types of forums most of us would have made many mistakes and learnt the hard way.

Gymnation's general position on steroids is this:
We don't take a side for or against them. It's not our job to eradicate steroids, but equally it's not our job to help people find them. We have very clear rules about what's allowed and what's not. If we have evidence these rules have been breached, then we may hand out penalties accordingly. If there is no evidence, we usually give people the benefit of the doubt. I think we're pretty consistent in applying that policy.

As Nate and others have said, while MuscleNZ may have been convicted of offences outside this site, we have no evidence that would require him to be banned here. So he's welcome to remain a member (which is good, because his experience is clearly appreciated) and we wish him well with his health problems.

Understanding the u/g scene is very small and not wishing to offend anyone, my only motive for posting this was the connection between aas and prostate problems. Its a touchy subject and maybe a little close to home for some people. Hopefuly when the media shit dies down we will be able to discuss this a bit more.

Many people get prostate cancer, whether their is a connect between his use of anabolics and his cancer who knows. Unfortunately prostate cancer is a lot more common than you may think. 

All the best with recovery MuscleNZ as others have said you are one of the few quality posters on this forum.
