Good to see you back, even with a new gf (good to hear) its all about getting into a routine.

I work long hours sometimes and will still get my workout in, if the guys ask if I am going out I'll say yes but after my workout, its just routine now it may seem a little obssesive to some but to me its just an hour out of 4 days a week easy to make time if you want to.

Good to see things getting back in order for you mate,

The hardest is once u loose track, implementing a proper regime in place again, i.e. diet, regular workouts , supps etc.

Yeah My gf cant figure out bulking either. Shes entirely anti bulking, so now ive told her im just gonna get fit like the guys on Mens Health. Hopefully cause she sees me all the time , she wont notice im ballooning up.

Ive had to lie to her that I dont use creatine anymore either, shes convinced that stuff is gonna dissolve by kidneys away :lol:

BTW do remember to programme your hardest workout such taht its on a day you wont have to engage in any cardio with the gf, or underperformance results lol .

3 weeks off I think- We start back on the 4th July don't we Jono? Don't really have a job anymore and the gf has gone to Bali for the next 2 weeks so there will be no distractions :grin: This trimester will be much lighter than the last so looking to put some real serious effort into training and eating.

Decided that I really need to start hitting legs more regularly so did them last night, and max out at 3pps on Leg Press haha. Question regarding that- I'm 6'3 but have long legs and it feels as tho my knees are going to expode. When you guys are hitting up 7 or 9 pps how do your knees feel? Do you strap them?

It was a good workout and walking to the car I fell over about 4 times, legs were just totally dead. I'm dedicating today to sitting down and eating :grin:

my knees feel fine . and yesterday i did 7pps*6*3. never had any knee pain.

make sure you put your feet high up on the platform, and drive through your heels. some1 should be able to put the hand upder your toes and not get their hand crushed if your form is on.

I also have no issues with knees while doing the legpress. Does your legpress allow for much adjustment, the one i currently use, you can adjust both the back seat area and the foot plate angle. I find if i dont dial it in how i like it effects my workout.

Ah right! If they tried doing that with me I'd turn their hand to soup- I was pushing with the balls of my feet and toes, heels often came off the platform.

I don't think it's adjustable Growth, I'll have a look when I try after I've recovered :grin:

I can sometimes feel the tension in my knees, hoever only when I am at my ,imit. Might be form related though I dont think so as that weight becomes easier the knees cope, it never holds me back from increasing weight.

Wow that would really be working your calfs as well, it may well be the reason there is extra stress on your knee. Keep us informed.

Bleat if your really looking to pack on some beef wouldnt the addition of a compound movement for backwork be in order? Not sure how you feel about it but its been drilled into me that my back workouts HAVE to have a compound lift like deadlifts or Bent Over Barbell rows or even Rack deads.

In fact I do just about all 3 in my back workouts these days !

Maybe replace the pulley rows with BB rows ?

I was very happy with todays workout. Rapped to have nailed the 17's on the curls. Got my PB on incline despite having it the 3rd exercise, just approached it with a different mind set, and could have gone heavier but felt something off in my shoulder and wanted a spotter. Flat bench is up from what it has been lately but still a fair way from my PB. Would have swapped to a BB for Curls the second time round, but was too buggered to rack it up so grabbed the Dbs for the second time.

Would have stayed for longer but ran out of time, and I still have DOMS from the shoulder workout on monday. It was a good day :D

Haha sorry mate, updates have been put on the back burner as of late. Class is taking it's toll once again. Training however has been going really well for the past week or so, eating well and getting my lifts back up. I just brought a new car so getting to the gym is easy once again. Absolutly destroyed my shoulders last night, so just concentrating on eating big and getting through my ACCY exams over the next few days.
