AI as part of PCT??

Recommended Posts

There has been some controversy regards whether a suicidal aromatise inhibitor should be used with nolva and clomid as part of PCT...

Quote:

By lowering the body's estrogen to lower than normal levels it makes the body think that testosterone is low since estrogen is the gauge as to where the testosterone is. So when estrogen is high the body shuts down natural testosterone production because it things testosterone is low since testosterone is converted to estrogen via the aromatase enzyme. By lowering the Estrogen the body kicks up production of the Testosterone again and you are able to rebound after your cycle much faster than if you would go without a suicidal AI.

Your thoughts pls....

Local aromatization of testosterone in the hypothalamo-pituitary compartment is not a prerequisite for expression of the inhibitory action of estrogens on gonadotropin secretion in men. Peripheral estradiol levels directly reflect the inhibitory tone exerted by estrogens on gonadotropin release and are a major determinant of peripheral testosterone, LH, and FSH levels.

I can't find reference to Testosterone negative feedback being influenced by low levels of estrogen in any of my uni books on anatomy, physiology or endocrinology, but i have found a few studies to suggest using an AI may, by lowering estrogen raise testosterone levels..

Therefore could it be prudent to use an AI with nolva clomid in PCT.?

Any thoughts pls gentlemen..?

Does lower Estrogen trigger Test production....is that the question Daz?

The hypothalamus has receptors for both so are you asking if it implies that it raises Test when it senses low Estrogen....?

I would assume that it tries for homeostasis if it was normal healthy functioning system. You can easily invoke an E2 spike with a high Testosterone shot to demonstrate homeostasis at work.

But...I know guys taking Estrogen inhibitor supplements feel way better, and some Natty guys in my gym are taking just Clomid and reporting positive things about it.

Hi Android..

Yes that was the question..

Yes, I was wondering exactly what stimulated negative feedback? Low Test, or low E2..? I'm having difficulty finding literature to confirm this..

Thanks for you reply..

Just found this:

Because of the antagonistic effects of enclomiphene, the drug has the potential to increase serum testosterone levels in men with secondary hypogonadism by restoring physiological endogenous testosterone secretion while maintaining testicular volume and, potentially, spermatogenesis. In clinical trials conducted to date, enclomiphene demonstrated significant efficacy in the physiological restoration of testosterone levels in males with secondary hypogonadism.
