Hey guys Im Mike, 22 years old and live in West Auckland. I've been hitting the gym hard for a little over a year now and it's something that I am really passionate about.

Little bit about me. I got my first taste of the gym when I was 17 and used my dad's gym membership card for about 6 months. Then, once I started Uni, the gym really took a back seat. Three years of student life really took a toll on my body. I would credit that largely to a diet which mostly consisted of cold jugs of beer and junk food. I got to a point where I really didn't like the way I looked. I never wanted to go to the pools, or anywhere where I'd have to take my shirt off because I was super contusion about my little "beer-belly".

Signing up at my local gym after graduating Uni was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I weighed in at 80kg the first day I stepped inside the gym and with hard training and dieting that went down to 65kg towards the end of 2012. I'm currently sitting at around 72kg (not too sure on B.f %) and bulking for the winter. I'm training for aesthetic purposes with a goal of competing in Men's Physique in 2014.

I jumped on the NZ Bodybuilding forums , because I'd love to meet some like minded people, bounce ideas around and maybe make some new mates in the process 8)
