Apparently it's ok to do so if you PM in private.

I think this should b stated more publicly so everyone knows the website condones sourcing illegal gear in private ... just clears things up for everyone u know.

I agree we need to clear up the confusion around this, Android. In fact, here's what I said to the mods last night - because I think they're just as confused, and fair enough too.

If there's confusion about this, it's probably my fault. I'm very aware our policy on what's acceptable and what's not is pretty unclear. I don't think we've even updated the rules to include the no-brands policy. That's something I want to fix when we move to Gymnation.

Here's my suggested table of charges, which I think we'd make public in a sticky topic so everyone could see...

Advertising a source in the forum - immediate ban.

Advertising a source in a PM - immediate ban.

Requesting a source in the forum - 1 week suspension for the first offence, followed by an immediate ban.

Requesting a source in a single PM - not our concern.

Requesting a source in multiple PMs (spamming requests) - immediate ban.

Mentioning an underground lab's brand name (or posting a brand-identifiable product photo) in the forum - 1 week suspension for the first offence, followed by an immediate ban.

Hopefully this will make things clearer. This may not be the entire list of offences, and the mods reserve the right to adjust any penalties should the situation demand it.

Now, I haven't heard from the mods yet, so it may still change. But I figured I'd let you guys have a say too. What do you reckon? Are the penalties too harsh/lenient/just right?

Hey Pseudo... what's the take on posting pictures, or discussing legitimate phama brands, or UK/European/Middle Eastern underground products whilst in the UK (where they are currently legal)...

Meh I always assumed we agree to stuff like that in the T&Cs when we sign up. If ya don't like someone being able to read yer stuff then things like facebook, gmail, dropbox and internet browsing are best avoided too.

There should be some protection given to prevent random sourcing.

See...it needs something that says you don't condone, do so at your own risk but if someone complains you're suspended...same as when someone complains about a posting...it's not illegal to post BUT if people take offence then it's a problem post. If two guys agree its not a prob then alls sweet, hell my first offer for steroids came from a member on here who mentioned his other customer forum members lol...safe!

At least GymNation shouldn't "condone" by "not our concern" the sourcing of steroids using the forum services. You're already known as the place to "hookup" in some circles

Pictures and discussion of legit pharmaceutical brands - okay. Pictures and discussion of underground products (whether NZ or international) - not okay. Otherwise it just gets too complicated for the mods.

Fortunately, my snaps were of legit pharma brands, so I'm safe.

No, of course not. We don't read PMs, and we don't want to. What we're talking about here is PMs that get reported - and obviously we see those. But remember, as I've said before, PMs are not stored in encrypted form, so if we were ever requested by the authorities to turn them over, we would meet any legal obligations.

Hmm. I didn't see it as "condoning". Here's a few snippets of the moderators' discussion...

If the forum is like talkback radio, then the PM function is like a private phone conversation. You wouldn't allow underground suppliers to run ads on a radio station, or for a caller to ring in asking for illegal drugs. But if someone phones another off-air then that conversation is between those two members.

It's not our job to keep members safe, either medically or legally. It's not our job to actively prevent members from getting their hands on gear. It IS our job to ensure (as far as we can) that underground suppliers don't use this site to market their product.

However, it looks like the mods generally agree with you, Android.

I dunno if I agree with the single PM one - I personally think if it gets reported to us, we should take action... I'll roll with the majority opinion though, see what the members say.

As we can only see PMs that are reported, what's to say a single reported PM doesn't actually indicate multiple PMs to other members.

I think we should be dissuading people from using the forum to sell or obtain prescription only medications, wether it's done publicly or privately through PM. If we have proof, action should be taken. I agree a public listing is a definite permanent ban, but I feel that not taking any action for private messages is just being a tad weak. A 1 week suspension, with a warning of further punishment if they're caught again seems fair to me.

I know it's not our responsibility to keep the members safe, but it should be our responsibility to keep the site from being seen as a place to come to source or sell prescription meds.

They (and you, Android) make a good argument - so I'm convinced. Let's make source requests via PM a 1-week suspension for the first offence.

The Rules as described above are very confusing. Surely it would be better to say that the "Admin of this site do not condone or approve of any illicit discussion about the use of UGL or Pharma Grade AAS , PEDs or Peptides that compromises the legality of operating this site"......what you decide to do with infringements of this can be entirely up to the Admin. You cannot be prosecuted by inaction, surely. :wink:
