Sorry guys - changing the site's webservers had been taking up most of my concentration. Now that's (hopefully) over, I can start thinking about other things, like this...

How does these sound as the tentative dates for posting pics?

Set 1: Sunday, 3 July

Set 2: Sunday, 18 September

Final set: Sunday, 4 December

That gives about 10 weeks in between each set - enough time to make some fairly decent improvements.

We also need to sort out judging categories, which poses we want to see, and any other little details I've missed.

Well, we could either get forum members to vote on it, or we could invite some independant experts to give their opinions and advice after each set of pics.

I'm easy either way... What do the contestants think?

dont you think independent experts is a bit too much .. i mean its not this this is the olympia  im betting 1/2 the people who have "signed up" will pull out anyway

independant experts sounds like a nice idea, why not get some real expert advise on your posing, growth, strong points, weak points etc. Just because it isnt a full on comp doesnt mean you can have some good expert opinons.

  • 2 weeks later...
BUMP! Anyone else got comments to make on how this is run?

Time's running out... the first set of pics are due Sunday 3 July!

(This is only the "before" photos, remember, so it's ok if you look like crap... in fact, it's advisable! :D)

where abbouts are we going to post those pics ?

I'd suggest not requiring every mandatory pose - you don't want people put off by the sheer effort of posting too many pics!

I'd suggest a Front Double Bicep, a Back Double Bicep, and two different poses of their choice. (That would be minimum requirement, they could post more if they chose, of course)

And yes, pics should be head to toe. Shorts should be rolled up to show quads/hams. (We'll have no-one skimping leg day on THIS forum! :D)

It took me a while to open the thread for this since I was trying to get thumbnails working properly first. (Can you imagine the mess if everyone starting posting dozens of full-size images?!)

I couldn't find an existing thumbnail function to build into the forums, so I had to write my own, which took a bit longer.

Anyway, I think we might run this challenge set a bit longer to make up for the late start. ;)
