Solid lifting on Saturday bro . #Agile8

8)

Good one :pfft: Cheers bro!!!!

Solid results mate, 27.5kg gain and you're disappointed with yourself. Own worst critic aye  Will raw nats be your next comp or you planning another one in between?

Thanks Phed!

I been thinking about it for a few days ...

It is like 24 weeks or so away and I guess I could fit one in at some stage. Not sure on which one I might do at this stage tho.

In the mean time I made some changes to my diet:

Thank you for the kind words :)

If you are in a financial situation where you can afford it I would recommend it. Especially at your level!

He is very approachable.... basically I just sent him an e mail saying I am curious about him coaching me and he just sent back some basic info on how it works. Why not give it a try? It is not like you locked into anything... you can stop it when ever you like. (Just so you know, he will need about two weeks in advance to work out a training cycle for you. Leading into a competition or mock meet.)

Thanks OH, I might drop him a line and see how it goes, maybe try him out for my nationals buildup 8)

Are you continuing on with Mike bro, or just running with what you've learned?

I ended up signing up with him, 2 weeks in and I like the trainings so far! Thanks for the recommendation :)

No I'm not. His prices increased, and me being a fulltime student and all... my resources are limited, thus I had to stop. I am running an entirely new system that is slightly adapted according to my needs and current level.

Glad to hear you enjoying his program. He is an extreemly cerebral lifter and you will do well by adhering to his guidelines. I was going around in circles prior to getting to work with him. On completion I had a 27.5 kg increase in my total (and I was having a shitty meet!!!!) so his kung fu is strong

A quick update:

Still working on body composition and it is seemingly going the right way.

I will weigh in on friday and according to how much I weigh I may or may not alter my calories. Currently I feel that I recover from my training sessions adequatly and I am slowly loosing body fat. Not so worried about loosing any muscle at this stage. Mainly for two reasons:

I don't have much muscle anyways and I still have plenty adipose tissue to cover me for my calorie deficits.

A quick set of 130 x 3 front squats from today:

Just a quick update...

Weight loss reached 3 kg (in 4 weeks) so pretty happy here. I think I up my carbs for a while and see what that does to the body. I guess I am around 14 or so % of body fat. Down from 18+% ...

Training is nice and steady, altho I do have a cold...

That seems like a very high set up even for a high bar stance, could be the angle mind you.

Good weight to move with a cold even 8)

Thank you MT!

I have a bit of problem with my shoulder mobility. If you look at my vids from a few months ago it is very apparent (I can barely hold onto the bar with my fingertips). At this stage I am hammering home high bar squats anyways :) Thanks for the comment!

Just a quick update...

Training has been consistent. I have done all planned workouts with the occasional light, extra accessory sessions (nothing major just back and rotator cuff stuff). Not sure on how I am progressing if I did at all :pfft: due to having significant variance within sessions/weeks. I think it is just due to the nature of the program. Body been holding up tho, so yey for that.

Happy with the body composition changes made, and just been maintaining that for now. My eating (surprisingly) been/is still very consistent and I atribute some of the success in this are to general preparation. Cooking / packing meals in advance for a few days at the time.

I have a planned maxing out session on squats and bench in a few weeks. (If I don't catch a cold etc in the mean time.)

Thats all for now :)

Training and eating are still consistent.

No idea where I am :-s If I play around with some calculations from previous numbers (Yes, I am aware it is not an accurate way to do it.)

My 150 x 5 from a few weeks ago puts me at 176 while todays 135 x 12 at one at 173.... I am f**ked either way

I didn't ask for a spot on these... still got some :? off putting a bit...
