i was ordering some ancilliaries from overseas(AI's and SERMs) and the fucking package got seized. i got a letter to my house asking me to contact them in order to discuss the importation. the letter is quite long but the main points are:

http://www.legislation.govt.nz/act/publ ... 55462.html

"it is unlawful to import prescription medicines into NZ without a reasonable excuse(s43 medicines act 1981)."

when it says "reasonable excuse" it means you need a prescription.

what do i do guys? someone please help me id rather not get into trouble with the law it will fucking suck ass.

when i ordered i was being a dumbass and i used my real name and address fml

If only you'd known it was illegal before hand and planned accordingly.

Tell them your mates stole your credit card and made the order to stitch you up and it's just jokes bro. Tell them you've changed your mind and want the blue pill after all 'cos actions having consequences is stink as

well i didnt know they would put my name and addy on the package because they did say "discrete packaging" fml

Are you serious? How the hell do you think packages get delivered? With a bloody name and address to deliver it to! It doesn't go through customs and magically appear on your doorstep without someone knowing where to send it. Discrete packaging would mean it doesn't say "PRESCRIPTION ONLY MEDICINE" all over the damn box.

No advice here, just amazed at how some people think.

oh come on, i didnt know any better. the "ancilliaries" i mentioned are actually an AI and a SERM for pubertal gyno treatment.

does anyone know if, if i manage to get a prescription from a doctor tomorrow and present the prescription, that theyll leave me be?

if i dont contact them, is there no further action?

"In essence what this section imposes is that a private individual cannot import or be in possession of a prescription medicine unless they have a ‘reasonable excuse’.

If an individual attempts to import a consignment of any prescription medicine and it is referred to Medsafe by Customs the consignment will be detained by Medsafe.

If the consignment is considered to be in a quantity that would be considered a ‘personal supply quantity’ that is, no more than a maximum of three months’ supply, or six months’ supply in the case of oral contraceptives, the medicine will continue to be detained and the importer will be sent a letter giving them 30 days to provide Medsafe with a prescription from a New Zealand authorised prescriber for the detained prescription medicines.

If the importer is able to provide a prescription from a NZ-authorised prescriber this is deemed to be sufficient proof that the individual has a ‘reasonable excuse’ for importing the prescription medicine and they are not in breach of Section 43 of the Medicines Act 1981. The consignment is then released to the importer.

If the individual fails to provide Medsafe with the required reasonable excuse, the consignment is seized and destroyed."

done, i was overreacting.

can a mod delete this thread? this is pretty damn embarassing.

Awwww you got your first seizure letter!

Fukc it bro, just don't reply. Unless you got ripped then you wouldn't have paid much for an order like that. Not like you were bringing in a load of GH or anything. Reorder with fake name to a mates place. Some places will reship fo9r free or cheap if you send them the seizure letter. Ask your source

I've had 7 or 8 seizure letters over the years lol

Yeh Whats the product name. Medsafe dont make it easy to find out whats not allowed.

Do they even test it? I reckon medsafe are making assumptions of what it cointains. Cuase generally there should be no actual substance on it. just there funky names. Torem ,Clomio etc

For example same say Tamox 30mg/ml. Could you ask them to prove that it contains real Tamoxifen Citrate. Your source could have sent a vial of water lol. Therefore your technically did not import any meds.

Say you thought you were ordering a normal estrogen supplement, could not find it on any banned list, cuase of funky names, and did not know it had real prescription meds in it. Might work for a first timer.

Just don't say anything. Don't call them.

As Tom and Diabolic said, throw it away, cut your losses.

Import again if you want it, or buy locally to avoid panic attacks.

If they call you (which they wont), you just didn't know it was prescription.

Done

Also Phedder, nice rage moderating.

If you had something called "Tamox 30mg/ml" seized then you can always dispute it but it would certainly not be worth it. They wouldn't release it for testing and wouldn;t do it them selves. The only way to get it from them is to provide a script, and then you need to convince your doc, and they could become complicit, etc

They err on the side of caution and seize anything they think is suspicious. Also remember they aren't stupid and are doing this shit all day every day. They know exactly what it is. Even if it was some BS OTC supp that didn't actually have nolva in it and was called "Tamox 30mg/ml" then they will still seize it unless it has a benign ingredients list. Even then it is up to their discretion as to whether they believe the label, etc, etc

I had a package seized because it contained unlabeled capsules. The letter said that "they can seize anything that resembles a medicine eg: pills, tabs, vials, etc, etc". They also didn't give me the opportunity to dispute it and said that it had already been destroyed....
