injection pain.

Recommended Posts

Hey guys.

Dave pinned 1.5mL of 250mg/mL test E (discontinued brand teal/white label) into left delt. Switched to this vial which had a few mL left oover from a mate's previous cycle. Anyways, woke up the next day (Monday) with a dead arm, swelling and sore as fark. Trained chest and tris that night. Woke up thks morning, pain and swelling still there but now have a red patch extending from the pin site about 4inches down the side of my arm. Don feel sick or feverish. Maybe a very little bit of heat coming from the delt but not really not really. Is this a common occurance or should I be worried?

If it gets bad then go to the doc of course, but I think you'll be fine.

There's a lot of gear made on the cheap that will be quite dirty and hurt the following day, cant mention brand names but even quite available brands can be lacking certain substances that make it smooth.

You pay for what you get

If you can afford to bif it, im with tom, just get rid of it

hi mate, have had the exact same thing in the past except had fevers aswell, pain lasted for 4 days straight i.e couldnt use that arm. put a pin into the site of the pain drawing out blood, not puss. so thankfully mine wasnt an infection.

If my story is anything to go by your body is having an adverse reaction to high BA content of your gear, you can try help this by cutting it with sterile oil or vit b12 to try lower the total volume of BA.

If you draw out puss, your gear is bung and get a new brand

There's been a few posts on here regards injection pain, its been thought to be too much BA, higher than stated dosage or crystallisation of compound in the muscle, not a lot you can do about it now...

If your unlucky it might last 4-5 days, don't worry about it..

Thought I would follow up with a pic. Hasn't got any more red and may have faded a bit. But it has spread slightly. Black dashes are where it was when I woke up and noticed it. Solid outline was yesterday. It has stayed in the solid outline but spread towards the red arrow a bit. If you look closely you can see the leading edge. The red dot is where I pinned. A bit less sore today also.

Looks like a reaction to what ever you injected/ incorrect prep. Also I would limit 1 ml into the delt, its a small muscle, anything over should go into a bigger muscle. Give it a few more days and if the redness does not go down then I would seek medical advice.

Thanks for the advice. I think that's what I will do given that the soreness and swelling looks to be going down slowly. Really cbf listening to a doc tell me how bad steroids are if I can avoid it lol. Dave caught up with his mate who used the other 1.5mL from the same vial and he has the exact same thing. Not quite as bad but he's been taking a bit of ibuprofen. Same pattern of spread as well. I guess that lowers the chance of it being an infection.

Hey guys thought I'd follow up again..

Last night felt a bit off, that achy feeling when you get the flu and had a resting heart rate of around 100bpm. Drove to a&e to see a doc. Bp was 156/82 lol had to explain that it was probably from the gear in particular the orals Im on. Low grade fever of 37.6.They weren't too sure if it was an infection or just a reaction to the gear/bad injection. So got prescribed augmentin and loratidine. Glad I went, better safe than sorry I suppose and I didn't even get a lecture, actually they were quite interested in my cycle. Let this be a lesson to guys experiencing the same thing, just go to the docs so your training isn't affected and your arm doesn't fall off. Having said that I'm still skeptical it is an infection. Hopefully it gets better soon.

That's the back of my arm dipshit I'm 105kg my arms measure at around 18". As for being a statistic, I would rather fully disclose everything when it comes to my health so a correct diagnosis and treatment is made I'm not down for the whole self sacrificing thing :)

A simple 7-day dose of Ceflaxin would have done the trick, if it wasn't an infection no biggie. Both Ceflaxin and Ammoxicillan are antibiotics but Ammoxicillan (Augmentin) covers viruses like throat infections. Have taken Ceflaxin before and all it does (all any antibiotic does) is slow any gains you might have been making.

At the very least it would save the medical record you now have stating steroid use...for future health insurance claims...that's all, no biggie if your heart's strong and you don't mind public hospital waiting lists in the future. Health Insurance companies will use the steroid use against any claim they can legally challenge, of course.

excuse the medical spellings, just remember how the words sound, too lazy to google

Never thought of it like that, thanks for the advice. I thought honesty was the best policy... apparently not!

But yet you were so keen to avoid the doctor earlier ....
