Had a good session before I had to fly back to Dunedin yesterday afternoon. Got shouted a free causal visit at just work out on Durham st by a hottie at the front desk after I got told the effpos was down. Was going to catch up with moe before heading back to Dunedin but he was away for the day since a shipment of new stock came in. Felt the cold right away when I got off the plane . I had 12 ,000 calories on Sunday after I a put my eats in for while I was in Auckland for the pans.  Thinking of using a diffrent type of dream tan for Nats but first I am going to have a looking around to see what is out there places like asn and other online supplements etc before buying a tub of dream tan. I have got eight weeks of hard work a head of me bring it on

before I trained  I weighed myself for the first time since last Friday night at weigh in and height check weight was 84kg and only gained seven grams during my break from the diet. Thought that was big improvement from last year when I put four kg  on in 24 hour time frame. Since this time around kept my food clean including two cheat meals on Sunday and Wednesday after the pans including the two cardio sessions that I did in the gyms in Auckland that I trained at. Talked to a few people at the gym about my comp and showed them the photos of me from my comp on my phone including the photos of my trouphys on my phone as well. My co workers very proud of me  including a few members at world were also proud of me. Not to sure if I have mention this or not. When i vistied a few supplements that I visit after the pans and showed the people who work in the supplement shops told them that I have qulifayed for nationals and only my second show. They thought that was pretty good going for someone who has done two shows. Since this my first time going to nationals I don't mind where I place in my class  and will be just happy being there. Will be doing two back sessions a week while I am prepping by having one heavy back session and the other is a pump session.

Come on let's get real... You didn't even have to diet to qualify for nationals mate... Top 3 qualify, you came 3rd and there was 3 in your class. You just turn up and you qualify. It's not that big of a deal, not like you qualified for soccer World Cup or Olympics.

Looking forward to nationals tho ... If this was the hype in the journal pre and post regional show I expect big things leading up to nats.

are we calling it "the nats"? Lol

Since I am eight weeks from nationals will be avoiding town on the weekend including going to the movies as well. So the smell of the foods that can not have just now don't drive me nuts that would also include the smell of popcorn as well . Which i discovered and learnt well I was prepping for the pans not a good idea going to the movies while one is cutting. Made a couple of changes to my training while I am prepping for nationals which are replacing kick stand squats for smith machine squats and using 12 reps for four sets and for leg press 3x20 with heavy weights. Forgot to mention yesterday that one of co workers asked me what are going to do about your birthday while prepping for nationals since ? Post phone it until after nationals that's ok with me. Might have ask my trainer see I can of a serving of weight watchers jelly since I won't be able to have any cake until after nationals . Notice in new world yesterday that there is a special on red seal 60 cap men's multi and the same for red seal magaziume and zinc 90 tablets which reminds me I need to get some more of both since I am getting bit low on both.Forgot to mention yesterday got a tub of dream tan yesterday from Asn yesterday and now I am looking around for jan pro to see what is out there by checking online like nz muscle, supplements, punch supplements etc

Started looking around for the cheapest possible flight for when I go to Auckland for nationals in October and emailing around to diffrent travel agents in Dunedin and asking about the cost  of the cheapest possible flight up to Auckland . Had a moment of brain fog yesterday when I went into world to get multis and magaziume and zinc . Got a jar of women's multis by mistake when I should have gotten the men's multi oh well. Bined the docket on the way out since it had coupon for Burger King on the back. Sent text to one of my co workers when I was leaving Auckland . The text said I did world very proud on august 9th  becoming the first ever staff member to qualify for nationals for any of three nz three major federations . Showed a few of my female co workers the photos of my trophys that I took with my phone. They thought that was very cool. This time around for nationals will be wearing my sunnies just in case if the spotlight is very bright.

Congrats on being the first ever staff member at your gym to qualify for the nats in any of the federations.

Funny thing as I had a thought this morning when I was sitting in a cafe in howick this morning with my girlfriend that I thought to myself... Wow I'm the only one in this cafe that has ever qualified for a national bodybuilding show too. It's a special feeling isn't it bibby, quite an immortal feeling.

Thanks bro that was one of the things that crossed my mind  after I qualified for Nats by feeling immortal and the start of my journey to Nats as well. Notice at snap when I got back to Dunedin there is a bodybuilding talk on September 6th with such topics covering the last week of prep for when one is prepping for a show. Thought that could be help for me to learn about new methods for other comps that I do down the road.

You could also offer to share your experiences at the talk gymrat. I'm sure many would benefit plus I think they would like to hear from a star

That's a good idea and when I am training or when I am at work I don't mind if people ask me for training advices . Not to sure if I have mention this or not but for the places that visit in Auckland  for the likes of going up the sky tower and the tour of Eden park ,the warriors game that I went to last Sunday I am the only one that has qulifayed for Nats for any of nz three major federations and I had the exacted same feeling for when using the trains, busses, ferry's  including where I went to for my post comp meals like macdonlds , the food court in the downtown mall etc  by feeling very immortal and on top of the world as well
