grabbed me 14kg's yesterday to keep me going for a few days, all weighed, packaged up and frozen ready to be taken out each day.

Last week was Aussie Butcher doing $10.99kg now it's the Mad Butcher

a while ago i portioned up like 10kgs of skin on breast, so had to take the skins off etc, weighed all the wastage and i cant remember exact numbers but it worked out almost the same price just buying them with the skin off, and way less hassle.

so unless you wanna save a few cents go for the boneless AND skinless, for a buck or 2 extra per kg.

Did the same Maccaz, was quite surprised at how much weight in skin there was wasted, plus the time it takes skinning them can be a pain in the ass if doing large quantities. Better off just buying skinless for the extra $1 or 2 per kg.

I brought some "Chicken Chunks" for Pak N Save yesterday was $9.99 a kilogram, looks like off cuts from Chicken breasts and smelt quite rank!

Stay away from Turks chicken. The meat is very tough.

Yeah, I bought up large from the Mad Butcher for this special. Not impressed though - the boneless skinless chicken breasts still had half the chook's skeleton attached. Ah well, I guess you get what you pay for. :roll:

yeah i hate this!

whenever its on special i guess they're in a rush to pack heaps so trim it real roughly
