Lol reminds for of these nz fitness personalities (who compete in nothing) on IG and FB posting them now vs some pre-pubescent photo of thenselves claiming an amazing transformation... I gonna post a pic of 10,000BC if can find one and me now... Wait wut lol

Training has been stale as the past week. Just losing all motivation to get into the gym. Rocked up too gym today picked up some dumbbells and couldn't even be bother. No idea why I was there. Not making any gains in terms of strength or hypertropy. The joocy side is looking pretty attractive right now. But don't want to lose that life time natty status

Did a gym meet on Saturday for some fun wasn't expecting to much in terms of my performance since I've been battling injuries and not so consistent as of late.

 

For the squat opened with 185kg got it easy hip felt alright so decided to jump to 205kg which also felt easy but strained the hip when coming out of the hole. Its an odd injury that was giving me a lot of grief a few months back in my journal. Since it felt easy went to 215kg (worst idea ever!) couldn't reverse it at all was painful as f*ck lucky spotter as a unit.

 

Bench opened with an easy 130kg flew up then 140kg on the second attempt was a bit of a fight to lockout. Third attempt went for 145kg missed it at the lockout. No pain in elbow or shoulder!

 

Deadlift open really conservative haven't deadlifted in months opened on 180kg flew up then 200kg which also flew up.

I've got a bit of inflammation in my right hip flexor muscle also after Worlds last week so now I know how it feels lol. Hoping it doesn't become chronic like yours though.

Good lifts bro. Should catch up over summer

Its okay if I keep on top of it just been way to lazy recently struggling to manage time. 

 

Yeah bro will hit you up next time im on the lakes in rotavegas.

 

As for the lifts I thought well were pretty average but gives me somewhere to work from. Like gym meets, will be training towards the rotaz one again.

Squats & accessories

Squat 60x1x10, 100x1x5, 140x1x3, 160x6x3 (Paused), 160x1x15

SLDL 70x1x16, 120x4x8

Hack Squat 2ppsx4x12

Leg extensions 3 sets of 16

 

Was meant to be a deload workout but hips were feeling good with all the stretching and heat therapy so decided to throw in an extra set on the squat and did a casual 15 reps. Not a PB, but haven't been able to get near than since getting back from merica.

 

Taking today off to stretch and eat potatoe chips and drink for quite few porters in front of the television.

Monday

 

Today I was prescribed finasteride at 1mg/day for hair loss, despite Daz's comments on the drug. Hair loss doesn't bother me to much but if I can take one pill a day with minimal (unnoticeable side effects) might as well.

 

If side effects become noticeable i.e. loss of recover/muscle mass, reduced sex drive or sexual pleasure I have no problem stopping the treatment. After there is nothing more enjoyable!

 

Thinking about doing a log on progression through my cause of treatment (pictures etc) not sure where to log it though. Also applying 1ml of 5% minoxidil twice a day although I might reduce this to once a day and its kind of expensive.

 

Treatment at the moment is costing $45 for 3 month of finasteride, $50 a month for minoxidil. Can get re-prescribed from GP rather than derm which costed me $200 each visit but all reclaimable with health insurance so no issue there.

SLDL 60x1x16, 100x6x8 (3" deficit)

Was crazy hot in Led Mills so finished the workout there. Not sure if I'm already getting weaker or has not recovered fully for last workout on Saturday. Should have recovered had good sleep etc

Monday

 

Bench 60x1x10, 80x1x10, 100x6x8 (Pause, slow, tight and controlled)

 

Incline DB Press 38x4x12

 

Tricep Extensions 5x16

 

Was a bit of a deload workout body is feeling a bit beaten up. Going to try a peak program for the Rotarua GPC meet. If not going to perform as I'm wanting won't compete. Was planning to take this year off to try avoid injury and make progress, as the biggest thing hindering my progress is injuries. 

 

Didn't train today (Tuesday) still my testicle was hurting to much going to doctor tomorrow to get that shit sorted out.

stiff leg deadlift 60x1x20, 100x3x8 (2 inch deficit)

booty squats 80x5x12

leg extensions 4x14

still a little bit under the weather afTer new years night. the 20 rEp set it 140 kg killed me.
