My gf has low blood pressure too. Think was 70/40 or some shit. Doctors concerned about it or something..wasn't really listening when she told me as was playing COD.

Sick. How long for? You gonna lift over there much or at all?

There for 5 weeks, don't plan on training probably won't have the time and struggle to find a gym. Could do with the time of, just ease back into it when in NZ.

Will be a lot of drinking etc no doubt.

Did the mount GPC 3 lift yesterday was a good turn out with some strong lifters both female and male. There were two 300kg Deadlifts and a few nearing it.

Squats

When warming up hips felt ridiculously tight and just couldn't get them feeling right. I did my first attempt at 200kg for the squat in sleeves and when in the hole got sharp pain in hip like straining a muscle. Normally this feeling frees up my hips which it did this particular time too. Second attempt decided to wrap and attempt 215kg used my old thp wraps and was surprised I was able to half decently able to wrap myself lol. Normally have helper. Went up fast and felt good so did what I thought was a conservative third attempt of 230kg got three whites but was a bit of a grind. Was happy with it though considering how poor training gas been.

Bench

Warming up everything felt mint. Last warmup was 120 for a double. First attempt was 140kg and it flew off my chest like an opener should. Second attempt was 147.5 and also flew off chest but slightly slower. Third attempt went for 152.5. Got half way up and stalled. Not to disappointed though as second attempt was 2.5 kg PB.

Deadlift

Warming up felt ok. Don't really get much of a tight feeling from deadlift always feels rubbish. First attempt was my usual 180 go to. Was fast and easy as it should be lol and second attempt was 200 also felt reasonably easy. Passed on third didn't plan on doing more and wasn't eager to risk injury. Wasnt worth it for me, the meet was purely for fun and that it was.

Had a feed and some beers afterwards with the GPC crew overall was a good day.

Training this week as been slim to nothing busy organizing trip (last minute but meh) and the last 24 hours have had a compression cuff on my arm recording blood pressure every 30 minutes which is pretty annoying. 

 

Got bugger all sleep last night because of the constant inflation of my arm getting it off this afternoon though so looking forward to training this afternoon

My wife had a blood pressure cuff a while back as she was a bit high, was only 24 hours, but it looked like a pain in the ass, bruised her arm up and everything

Yeah get sick of explaining why my arm is inflating to colleagues also. Going to feel mint with it off.

 

My was measured at 160/60 when I got it put on was nervous though. Should be mint feel sweet as.

4x16@100kg. BRB i quit. Are they lifting large sleeves, what are they like?

Yup lifting large. They are mint keep elbows nicely compressed and warm especially on colder days (not that cold here though) 1/4 or 1/5 the price of SBDs.

Recommended if your pressing a lot of volume.

Allthough with shipping and usdollars it does jack the price up a little bit. But if there good quality might be the go. Just want some warmth for the knees. The sbds are way to hard to get on for training

Trained last night unexpectedly as one of the lads at the pub I was having a pint with was a worker at a gym in London so jammed a session a few pints of guinness.

Worked up to 180 deadlift for 5 felt bloated as then decided YOLO let's do a 3min total.

Got a 210/145/180 with no wrist wraps no belt no sleeves or anything. Literally straight from the pub lol.

After squatted 180x6 was an amrap RP9.5

London is sick, would love to live here. Everything is so flash, so much history and the food is wicked.

About to chop some more pints back then off to Brussels. Chur

Haven't posted in here for sometime. 

 

Starting to get back into routine, started back at work today and its definitely a struggle from the moment of waking up!

 

I arrived back in New Zealand early Monday morning and spent the majority of the day sleeping, but managed to get back into the gym on Tuesday. Just did a light chest and back workout.

 

Bench Press 60x1x10, 80x1x10, 100x5x5

Incline DB 30x4x12

Lat pull down 5x12

Seal rows 60x5x12

 

Wednesday

 

Squats 60x1x10, 100x1x10, 140x5x5 (paused)

Front squat 60x4x12

Hamstring curls 4x16

 

Back felt dodgy on the last set of back squats but kept going anywho as I was eager to get back into it... shouldn't have. When I woke up that following morning back was stiff and sore asf. Took the rest of the week off.

 

Today back is feeling better going to jam an chest and tricep workout on international chest day.

Getting back into military been a 6 weeks.. but they have always made my shoulders feel good hopefully get back to fully strength soon enough.

Was a quite workout had to leave to go out for family occasion. Was stoked with the 180x9 squat in sleeves especially since only 2 weeks back and previous personal best was 14 so closing in on it. 

 

One thing I noticed is that my left shoulder seems to be a bit tight and inflamed not to much of a concern at this stage but taking care of it. Also noticed hips are starting to tighten again this time on the left side.

 

Barbell would slide down my back once knees locked as barbell flies off shoulders when I lockout and shoulders to sore to hold barbell in place messing up setup between reps. When trying to re-rack couldn't as barbell had come so far down my back that I had no chance getting on the pins.

 

Overall sickening basic workout pumped with outcome. Not sure how to approach training this week might be a little bit of a deload on the squat. Didn't have a chance to deadlift this week, not something I should be avoiding though as my deadlift is cake, just lacking motivation on that particular lift.

 

Starting Wookies five week program when I get back from the South island so hopefully I can start making some head way with his approach of training.

Past week I've been stationed down in Rolleston managed to get two trainings in so far at fitness canterbury. Gyms pretty sweet, plenty of equipment.

Tuesday 13/10

Bench 100x6x10

Incline 80x6x12

Machine row 5x10

Lat pull down 5x14

Had a few more back exercises in there but no idea what the machines are called.

Friday 16/10

Squats 160x5x3 (P), 180x4x3

Hack squats 4x16

Tricep extensions 4x16

Machine curls? 5x16

Workout a bit random, wanted to get some load on the squats but not to much. Moved fast and easy. Squatted in chucks as didn't bring oly shoes down.

Trained today at fitness canterbury with beastbuilder.

Started session with some pec deck flies then joined in for a back and bicep workout.

Volume was insane, something like 30 sets on back a few supersets and decent volume on biceps. Don't think body is conditioned for that volume going to be sore tomorrow!

Heading to Timaru tomorrow to train some sqwats and bench with bigken
