Physio said back is farked. Got bad interior pelvic tilt which is causing a deep curvature in my lower back putting massive load on my tail bone. Needs corrected asap which will take months of rehab to correct if keep going without correcting only time before herniating a disc in my lumbar spine.

Got some ibuprofen taking 1,200 mg a day.

Pains pretty mad it's got me sweating all day. Can't seem to find a comfortable position to relax in!

In other news trip to Europe is booked stopping over in Malaysia for three days to catch up with a mate it's going to be wet season though lol. Then flying into London on the 25th August and traveling to Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Hungary, Prague,Switzerland (yeaha), Spain and France (only to fly out not a fan of France but got cheap flights).

Made a few changes mate wanted to stay a bit longer in London. Pretty pumped should be wicked now the waiting game!

Flights where really reasonable flying Malaysia Air was surprised they did return flights lol

Damn, that's all a bit shitty, Jimmybro. :(

No sense pushing yourself to do a half-arsed bench and risking further injury, though.

Yeah especially considering process I've been having! I think if I correct these muscle imbalances I can only come back strong and a more efficient lifter. Prehaps it's what is holding my deadlift back... Who knows.

I was planning to take a break up was looking forward to doing one more meet to attempt that 240/250 squat it's pretty disappointing but nothing I could do about it.

Get fixed up bro back injuries are serious they haunt you later in life. It's abit diffetent to an elbow mate.

Yeah definitely not something I want to be battling with for an extended period of time. I'm only 25 got to make it to my 40s in reasonable health at least!!! Lol

Shaggers back bro... Too much snapchat and tinder lol

Lol. Yeah I'm not exactly mobile now haha.

Woke up this morning and had to roll out of bed had the intention of going to work but was struggling to walk to the bathroom alone. Ended up down 400 mg of antis doing some glutes activation excersies then going for a slow 45 min walk to try loosen things up. Trying to avoid sitting whenever I can.

Watched the GPC Waikatos yesterday as was injuried and couldn't compete. Been given the opportunity to compete at nationals though so will work towards that and if ready I will compete.

Catch up with a few of the lads on here was a good day. Had a few beverages afterwards apparently alcohol is one hell of a pain killer felt awesome all night woke up this morning still a bit tender though but definitely an improvement.

Big 26 today brahs almost over that hill!

  • 2 weeks later...

Been a while since I last posted been working a lot of days almost every day of the week, but have been keeping up with training with the aim of competing at nationals.

Back is feeling a lot better I have dropped the ball with rehab though which I should be keeping up with but time is so limited and want to focus on training with my limited free time.

Today's session

Bench 60x1x5 100x1x5 120x1x8 120x2x5

All reps were paused was stoked to get 120x8 paused!! Massive PB maybe a 150 bench at nationals

When a while since posting, been to caught but with work over the past few weeks. Project is nearing the end now though, have first product on Thursday this will hopefully and after that will be able to return to normal hours and focus back on training.

I haven't had much opportunity to focus on my mobility and rehab on my lower back so I'm hoping I don't re-injury it trying to train smart but it can be hard at times.

Not following a program or anything at the moment just training depending on how I feel since I don't know which days I will be able to train and which days I won't due to time restrictions. The nature of commissioning means I'm not sure when I will be leaving work for the day.

Monday - Bench focus

Bench 60x1x5, 100x1x5, 120x5x5 (paused), 100x1x12 (paused)

Dumbbell Press (incline) 34x5x16 (elbow a little sore)

Tricep extensions 5x16

Bench is feeling strong changed a few things on setup and started wearing a belt. Considering lack of energy might have gone up a fair bit.

Jumped in on the bench with Tawa looks like he is going to be getting some good numbers at nationals was repping 150kg out easily for a few sets.  Looks good for a 750+ total.

Thought you'd forgotten us, mate! ;-)

What's the project?

Currently commissioning a whey dryer for Tatua that we designed and built. Been on the project for almost 12 months now, got first product this coming Monday so hours aren't going to go away anytime soon.

When the client has a significant loan there is a lot of drive to get the dryer producing product as soon as possible!

Might attach some pictures
