Loochi's very slow Oct 2012 progress

How's it? Been a while since I been to any bodybuilding forum. :pfft:

Been lean bulking for a quite a while now.. Gaining around 100g of weight a week.. Sometimes don't even gain.. Doesn't seem like much but I like to do things slow to weed out excess fat gain. Plus it all adds up in the end.

Took some pictures with my phone so the quality isn't the best and obviously I am under lighting which will make me appear leaner... But I am stoked with my progress even though it has been slow and even though it isn't something that is 'wow'.

I say my improvements have been

-arms (still want them bigger to get a better v taper)

-chest

-hamstrings (really happy with how they've come along)

-shoulders

-back (a little wider but still need alot more thickness)

However...

-quads aren't as good as they were last year sadly so I left my current gym

-calves aren't as good as they were last year either

-traps.. I have to be honest with this one, have been slacking :pfft:

My goal for 2013 is be able to get in the best shape of my life and compete in the classics class or go for an over all win in either of the nabba federations... Or perhaps keep bulking til I can't put anymore quality weight :pfft:

But I think I am over due to compete...

Anyone know much about the classics class? Apparently there is no front / back lat spreads and no overall title... (which to be honest I wouldn't stand a chance in the IFBB federation  )

Only time will tell I guess

Any inputs / suggestions or whatever would be appreciated. I can finally say I have 100% dedication to bodybuilding once again and for anyone in my class.. Be ready because I will be for sure. 8)

Nek min... Don't even compete...

As I always tell you bro it's all Right There! You have all the proportions and dare I say it even muscle maturity starting to come through.

I can see you doing some major damage in either the WFF Class 3 division and Overalls or NAC Athletic Short Division and Overall, you just have to commit to a show then work towards it.

Your chest is looking heaps better this year but you can bench more twice your body weight so yeah....

SG: Thanks bro :) What is the NAC ? - Just gotta get peeled to the bone which I failed to do last year  - I'll compete extra competitions next year to make up for you not competing

GF: Thanks mate, wanna be the best in my class and do well in the OAs...

Ninja: Cheers mate, I think quads and calves could be a bit better but happy with the hamstring progress.. Want them like Shawn Rhoden!

TLAF: Thanks bro! Was good to train with you other week. You trained like a freak!! - I miss muscle and fitness... Has a good vibe to it.. Good music :)

I also must say that I am very confident with almost all poses. Just the side chest which I am working on! \:D/

Sup Loochi, enjoy watching your progress!

can't give you any tips lol! But you can give me some :salute: Hammies looking good. Train them with quads? or do you train them separate?

I can finally say I have 100% dedication to bodybuilding once again

good to hear!

And a 2x bw bench is pretty mean, got A LOT of work to do to claim that one!

Daniel: Ta mate. Will be mean to step on stage together

TLG: Thanks buddy :) - today after the bathroom and butt naked I was 73.1kg :pfft:

MK: Thanks mate! Appreciate it :) - I actually prefer to train them with quads and calves.. I do hammies before squats so I feel all warmed up! Some people say it will hinder their quad performance but I've tried both and felt no difference... Also I believe it gets worked out hard when you do low squats or legpress / lunges etc..

LOL at 2xbw bench, SG is lying I don't even go near the benchpress :shifty:

Tom: Thanks Tom! Did you compete?

MNZ: I will mate. Just gotta come back better and improved! Especially people in my weight class are improving pretty damn quick and new guys are crawling out of the woodworks :pfft: - Gotta remind them who's king first!

Wide shoulders, great lats, tiny waist and big legs, great shape for success in BBuilding Loochi,

I remember seeing you win your class at the NZIFBB Nationals in 2009 or 2010 I think and was inpressed by you proportions and structure and then another class win at a NABBA regional where you had kept the same shape but just grown.

I hope you pick a comp and get back in the competitive game mate as you definatley have the goods.

Fair enough R, I stand corrected! It was 2010, my work brought a table to support big Darren going for the Mr NZ.

That was a good nationals, I remember also seeing Aron Noble win the Classic Class that year, looking shredded

Will be good to see you back on stage mate, when was the last time was that the WFF in Christchurch with you, Lee (Weener Lad)Lynch and Craig Smith? Hi quality Athletic field that day

Thanks Matrix. Was good to meet you and cheers for always supporting!

It was 2009 that I first competed! So OPT you competed in 2008

Trust me mate, I will definitely compete but I want to bring something to be very proud of not just compete for the sake of doing so! If that makes any sense! :pfft: - I think my legs need a little bit more work (quads and calves) They started to atrophy after joining a different gym at the start of the year.. Firm believer in the right equipment! Proof in the pudding too, no one has legs in that gym except SG :pfft: .. But they will be back on track for sure! When was the last time you competed? Are you going to do any competitions next year?

OPT: Thanks mate! Are you doing CHCH nabba wff? I was pretty shocked how you got beaten last time bro. I was like ".. " - He did look awesome though. From the pictures I seen, I had you in first. (I am biased though since you are my competitor :pfft: ) what did you think of your results in that comp..? - I agree man everyone's coming out of no where and they are doing awesome.. Check out the person in the green trunks in the IFBB waikato under70kg... Hopefully I won't go against him

Here is my front double bicep that I want to start doing. I think it compliments my physique well but I have two issues.

1) I'm not used to flexing in this pose so I have no definition compared to my other photos I posted... (perhaps when I get stage lean I will re-assess this pose)

2) I am not sure if we are allowed to pose like this? Does it take away symmetry? I hate the mandatory front double bicep... Looks so weak... Only a minority can pull it off in my opinion.

Thanks for the motivation everyone.. Time to go balls to the walls \:D/

Yeah Loochi,

I used to go to 5 or 6 shows per year to support but its tougher now as I look after the kids on saturdays when most of the shows are on as my wife works retail.

I miss watching a good show and supporting the athletes, everyone can always do with a few verbal cues from the crowd as no matter how much posing you do theres always a hammy to tighten, abs to pull in or a chest to lift on stage, especially during multiple rounds of comparisons.

I will make a bigger effort in 2013 to go to more.

I just did the NABBA Nationals but wasnt sharp enough or dark enough so you could say I competed but wasnt competitive!

I added more calories this year so I wouldnt lose so much weight during my diet phase but It kind of backfired as I didnt do enough cardio to compensate for a now sedentary sales job...gone are the 14hour days PT'ing where I didnt need to do much cardio at all

Just goes to show that every prep is so different and almost needs to be approached as a completely seperate entity each time depending on your starting point, job, stress and family commitments to name just a few factors!

I think that guy from the Waikato was Dean Flude, Ive seen him compete before at a NABBA show and he gets in great shape, shredded glutes and all. Think he might have worked with Alymer Porter, Pseudo will know??
