Mean Bench Press Mean!!!! Good effort OB and Team!

First time in NZ for a live stream for powerlifting - hope it filters in to Strongman and Weightlifting too.

Great comp! Leighton Best (aka Best Bench) took out the top bencher award for the Open Men today, with a lift of 240kg in the 93kg class, well done!

Other notables were Jason Cunningham-Gerbich setting a new 120+kg Open class record of 276kg, and narrowly missing 280kg at lockout. Many records hit, I'm sure results will follow sometime next week when OB and Ruth have finished tidying up the place.

Another excellently run comp from OB and Co :clap: Time and time again setting the standard, awesome work wise one :nod:

Looking forward to Bledisbro and Record Breakers in November, hopefully we'll have a better Livestream setup going for all of you out there in interwebs land :)

I only caught the last 4 or 5 benches, but the stream seemed pretty good to me, and spotters were onto it :nod: Well done to all who competed and well done to OB and the Powerhouse for what looked like (from the little I saw) a successful first foray into live streaming in NZ :clap:

Good stuff guys, thanks for the feedback! OB and Zane started piecing it all together just a couple of nights ago, so it was a little rushed. We hope to be better polished for the Record Breaker and BBro in about a month's time - but good to hear the stream at least worked ok.

Commentary come through ok in the text?

I watched about a minute of the streaming and it looked good also good idea by having streaming from the house.Who were the spotters?

Spotters were your good mate Tyler aka M.T closest to the Camera, Jacob (aka Tutua) farthest away from the camera, and Phil Townley Jr as the centre spotter. Zane Wairama was assisting with the loading and platform management.

Also, neglected to mention a massive Raw bench from Damon Tafatu - after opening on 200kg, nailed 210kg for his 2nd, and failed an attempt at 212.5kg :clap: Damon is in the Open 120kg class (also a massive classic squat and dead - both 280+!).

Up there as one of the biggest raw lifters - let alone benchers - in the country :nod:
