if they do charge you, at court just explain the situation.. i'd be suprised if it is any more than a fine..

as for the overseas travel thing, i have a few convictions from 2007-2008 (bring on clean slate act in a couple of years \:D/ ) but i haven't had any trouble with travel, just have to declare and explain stuff..
