Steroids after surgery

Hi guys. Does anyone have knowledge of the effects steroids have on recovery of bone and tissue growth after surgery ? Have any of you ran a cycle soon after and felt in enhanced recovery or does it have a negative effect . I have googled and turned up conflicting results so any first hand experience would be greatly appreciated.

It's more about keeping your head in the right place & immune system strong than the recovery aspects IMO. I have been on through several surgeries & have always been positive & recovered quickly without any undue adverse effects. However, you may have trouble convincing your medical professionals that it is a good thing to do.

I've been into hospital twice for fairly major surgery, once when I almost severed my left leg with a power saw... And recently for a double-double patella rupture (apparently a New Zealand first)...

On both occasions I've had comments from unknowing Surgeons as to the speed of healing, return of strength, range of motion and muscle size...

In both cases I've had an excellent diet as well as pushing my re-hab exercises to the extreme...

The compounds I used were Testosterone and Nandrolone.. I stayed away from compounds such as Winstrol because it has a reputation for drying out joints and maybe weakening tendons...

I was advised to consider HGH, IGF-lr3, MGF-peg, but they were either unobtainable or the price was prohibitive...

That is my experience....

Thanks Daz. The power saw accident sounds nasty mate . Test and deca are the exact two i would be looking to run . Probably in the range of 500mg test and 250mg deca a week for a 10 week period stretching the test an extra 2-3 weeks . Have read a few storys were people claim fast recovery but is good to here from a few nz bbs.

how about after a cortisone shot, anyone had any experince?? my mate THE SMITH is asking btw

My mate Dave Jr swears by the cortisone shot, but enjoyed the deca way more. and at only 100mg/wk. My knees felt better on 300 deca/wk, but no more MCL pain once on 400. Not after surgery though, but have to make an appointment with a specialist as per my pre-deca pain suggested (physio referred).

oh mate the smith already got his jab, but is wondering how does he go on about riding a bicycle, obv he has to avoid adding the nectar of the gods into that area?

with it being a catabolic (read lots online that doesn't support that it is, just anti inflammatory?) does he need a decent dose to counteract whatever catabolic things (if it's true) will happen

Had several Cortisone injections in my spine, and from what I understood its primary purpose is to reduce inflammation and it is localised to that immediate area of pain... Don't stress about the word catabolic its over emphasised too much and doesn't really apply to your situation, if your training hard and eating well, that is enough to avoid muscle protein breakdown... Plus the odd pin should ensure your mate Dave stays big and strong......
