disposing of pins

Recommended Posts

was thinking of dumping them at the local park, but this doesnt seem responsible (or perhaps not even legal?).

what a dipshit thing to say

if your not interested in disposing of them properly then wouldnt putting them in your rubbish at home be easier than going to the park? some kid at the park will pick them up or something... not cool.

Find out where your local needle exchange is and purchase your needles from there... They provide a free sharps container, you can return this container for free disposal and exchange your used needles, for new ones free....

Strong bad taste first post (well 4th post) & shit attitude :naughty:

yes. sorry for my attitude. sorry dannyjay. let me clarify (if its not already clear). I was never meaning to suggest to put pins in public park bin without containing them in some way, so that they cant be accessed by childeren (or anyone for that matter - wouldnt wanna accidently give the garbage collector aids). It not really my bad taste when others had suggested it to me (indirectly through forum topic).

thanks daz and agentorange

So surely there are people around here who dont go to needle exchanges. Where do you guys dispose of your pins?

It confidential, you get free and responsible disposal, plus you get free exchange needles, syringes, sterile swabs, and containers.....

If you really have to throw them: you might consider placing them in a clear plastic bottle and screwing down the top, with a vial showing what you were injecting so if some poor unfortunate council worker should come upon it he can clearly see it contains needles.. or if he should injure himself he can see you've only been injecting testosterone and subsequently are less likely to be carrying HIV, Hepatitis B-C , therefore it may lessen the trauma of waiting 3 months to find out if he has acquired a death sentence....

Saying you would 'dump them at a local park' sounded like just dropping them in the bushes. The thing with the internet is you have to be explicit when you write to ensure that what you are thinking comes out accurately.

Needle exchanges are For The Win. The people there are recovering users (or current) and don't give two shits about who goes in there. They really don't give a shit. And you can't get arrested leaving one, or the police get roasted.
