5X5 is awesome for getting that overall base up and hitting some good numbers very hard not to improve on this prog should do well.

If you are a beginner then suggest doing the beginners program before moving onto intermediate or advanced and get your body conditioned well before starting any of these.

Thanks all, I will give both a look with some extra accessory lifts.

Should maybe be a new thread but does anyone know of a good squat coach in chch? I have pretty good form on the rest of the lifts but my squats are pretty ugly and I think I need some help.

Gain Raw Strength. You'll add 100 pounds to your lifts every month and become stronger than 99% of the guys in your gym (even those steroid-drenched jerks who spend more time with their drug-suppliers than on training).
