Hi guys.

My name is Craig & I was told that there has been some interest in next year's Country Classic Invitational.

As the promoter of this show, I would be only too happy to be a part of this forum & to answer any questions that you may have.

I love BBing forums & have been a member of quite a few, so I am not just here to "pump-up" my show.

I would also like to get involved in a few discussions, find out about the state of BBing in NZ & basically make a few new friends.

I have strong opinions & a warped sense of humour, so watch out!

I will make an effort to behave myself though...................(well, maybe. :pfft: )

I see that there has been a thread started on the CCI, so I will jump over there & answer a few of your enquiries.

This is a very tidy looking site, well done to whoever runs it.

That's it for me, I'm off to cause a bit of trouble.

Cheers everyone.

Outlaw. (Craig)

Thanks for the welcome guys.

You run a very nice board deegee. Congratulations.

Is there time difference between NZ & Melb Aust?

Waldo...............how many names do you go by? :)

Trust me mate, your money will be better spent at the CCI than at the Casino, although it's not a bad Casino, better than Sydney's anyway.

I hope to see you over here next July.

Welcome, Craig - and thanks for the detailed info about your CCI event next year!

I'm on the NZFBB Executive and the NZFBB event organiser for the Wellington region - it's always great to converse with other promoters!

Yeah, I reckon Waldo has a number of aliases - obviously 'Gus' is one and no doubt 'MAX' is another possibility!

I'd love to come over to your event - probably not to compete, but just to check out the show and keep Waldo from blowing his savings at the casino! I'm also hoping to see my 3rd Australian Pro show in Melbourne next March - I see Tony D has signed up the legend Vince Taylor to come over again!

That's for your kind words & support mate.

As a fellow promoter, I am happy to give you a couple of free tickets to next years show. You'll need to pay your own way over, but there are 2 V.I.P seats waiting for you if you decide to come.

So far, no other promoter has taken me up on the offer. All the other federations over here were offered tickets, but none of them took me up on it. Maybe you will be the first. :)

Tony's Pro Show is looking like a ripper! Even the amateur show that he holds with it, the All States Championship is looking like a high standard show.

If you do decide to come to Melb, make sure we hook up. Definitely make an effort to get to Bendigo in July. It's a real fun weekend. Quality physique's, venue, prizes & plenty of party-time afterwards.

For those who would like to check out what a Hardcore Muscle Promotion show looks like, check out our website. There are over 500 photos as well as our rules & regs etc.

Here is next year's first poster. Our second & more detailed poster will be released in May.

Cheers.

Craig.

Thanks very much, Outlaw - that is very generous of you!! I'll do my very best to take you up on your kind offer, and perhaps persuade other officials and competitors to join me for the trip over.

I competed at the 2003 IFBB Australasian champs and I would like to see a lot more interaction between NZ and Aussie competitors. We have a handful of competitors that travel over your way to compete for various organisations and it would be great if we could arrange for your competitors to compete here also. Something to look at for the future!

Yes, Musculo, it certainly was an awesome experience! From memory there were perhaps 15 of us NZers competing at that event, and numbers have dropped significantly since then due mainly to the lack of funding available to send athletes to the event.

I wasn't selected in the original 2003 team, but decided to fund myself as it was the next level up for me after winning a national title in 2001. Jo Stewart is competing at the 2007 IFBB Australasian champs and hopefully several other people will join her from this side of the Tasman. And let's see if we can get some good numbers to watch and compete at Craig's CCI comp next July!

Team trips are great fun. Naturally I would welcome a team from NZ. I'm not sure what the incentive would be though.

My show is not an Australasian title or a qualifier for a bigger title.

It's just a straight-up BBing show, with the emphasis on great prizes & lots of fun basically.

I doubt whether you would be funded for just coming over & having a good time!

But don't let that put you off, you will have the time of your life & make plenty of new friends. I think I've got a team from NSW coming down next year. There were 4 of them this year & every one of them said it was the best comp that they had ever been involved with. Well worth the effort to get here so they tell me.

I would love to get a NZ judge on the panel too.

Are there any shows in NZ that us Aussies can go in.

I would be prepared to offer a trip or two for winners in the CCI to go over & kick a bit of Kiwi butt!

O.K, before you lot get too excited, the show isn't held in Melb, it's held in Bendigo which is about an hour's drive from the Casino.

Bendigo has the biggest & best nightlife next to Melb. The people are friendly & the restaurants are terrific. It has beautiful old historic buildings that were built in the gold rush days. It's very picturesque, with everything pretty well within walking distance.

There is maybe one thing that may interest you Kiwi's though?????

On the same weekend as the CCI, held at the Bendigo Show-grounds, is the Worlds biggest sheep show!

Over 25,000 of them apparently!

If all those Kiwi jokes are true, then this should plenty of incentive for you!

(Apologies for my lack of political correctness & crappy sense of humour) :pfft:
