Steroid esters

The half-life applies to the ester regardless of hormone attached, for example trenbolone enanthate and primobolan (methenolone enanthate) will act very similarly to testosterone enanthate in terms of release rate.

Drug Active half-life

Suspension within 1 hour

Acetate 1 day

Propionate 1 day

Phenylpropionate 1-2 days

Butyrate 2-3 days

Valerate 3 days

Hexanoate 3 days

Caproate 4-5 days

Isocaproate 4-5 days

Heptanoate 5-6 days

Enanthate 5-6 days

Octanoate 6-7 days

Cypionate 6-7 days

Nonanoate 7 days

Decanoate 7-8 days

The Ester half-lifes you find on most Steroid forums are incorrect as they were based on a mis-calculation of carbon atoms by Bill Roberts many years ago.....

I've got Enanthate at about 5.25 days... . http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/2333732

The times Android has posted are correct.....

Regardless of accumulated evidence over the years with ester half lives, there are several other factors that have been found to effect the ester action in the muscle. These are depth of injection, volume, solubility, exercise of the muscle & the way the ester has been chemically formulated. Enanthate esters are between 4-7 days on subjective analysis of several PCT & blood plasma scenarios.

The enanthate ester has 8 carbon atoms attached to the test molecule where as Propionate has only 3 & has a subjective half life of 2-3 days. The resulting active life is the time it takes various enzymes to cleave off the carbon chain & the compound is significantly registered in the blood. The half life is meant to be the time when the active compound (test) reaches a point where it starts to have diminishing returns. TestE 250mg = 125mg, Prop 100mg = 50mg. Detection time is the time the compound or its metabolites can be measured in the blood.

To say that the Enanthate ester half life is 5.25 days is only an average or estimated duration.

Just a point of clarification because that article isn't very clear. The half-life is the time taken for the concentration of drug in your blood to fall to half of its initial value. It is NOT the detection time and is not the time taken to clear the body.

If you inject a single dose of testosterone enanthate the time taken for the concentration in your blood to fall by half is around 5 days. After 4 half lives (20 days) the drug concentration is said to be negligible. This doesn't mean it is all gone! The drug may or may not be present in significant enough concentrations to be detected, depending on the sensitivity of the test. This also doesn't take into account various metabolites which hang around for some time and are able to be detected even when all of the original drug is cleared from your system.

Stay safe
