Ahhh I'm not so sure about that bro.

Okay 'relatively good' compared to everything other than the pokies but consider the current blackjack situation.

On the main gaming floor they use a continuous shuffling machine (CSM) and a large number of decks.

When they opened they played 4 decks out of a shoe (so the cards were human shuffled when you get to the cut card about 1/2 a deck from playing right through) and when it's just you at a table playing 2-3 hands pretty fast and smart you actually having a positive expectancy. With constant bet sizing it's pretty safe but boring.

When they upped it to 6 decks it kinda stopped being worth it if you were taking it seriously (smaller edge when more cards are unplayed so it takes a lot longer to earn the same amount of money).

I'd say it's likely that with the CSM you actually have better odds playing single numbers at roulette (to make it explicit: the player now has a -ve expectancy). The CSM means that it is no longer a 'memory-full' game and it was this aspect that made the game unique at the casino.

They used to offer 8 deck blackjack out of a shoe upstairs. The only real appeal of that was to get off the main gaming floor... This was a few years ago now but I'd expect it is still the case.
