Hey team,

In order to increase muscle size, is it beneficial to tire the muscle out completely by lowering weight until you can't complete the movement or just complete 6x4 of a heavy weight until you can't complete another rep?

Cheers

Conventional theory says for muscle size, the 10-15 rep range is best. 4-6 reps is more for strength.

When you talk about decreasing the weight, I assume you're asking about drop sets? They're good, but I wouldn't do them every set. It's better to save for A) the last set of each exercise, or B) all sets of the last exercise.

Yeah was talking about drop sets, cheers for clarifying.'

I have been completing rep ranges from 6-10 and increasing the weights each week. Say starting a heavier weight at 6reps then the next week performing 8 reps, next 10reps, then up weight and start on 6reps again. Is this the correct way? Cheers for the reply, I understand my gym lingo is not up to scratch  :)
