Here are some pics that Muscle Imaging got of me at the Christchurch Grand Prix a week and a half ago.

Edit: pics from nationals at bottom of page

I am 171cm and weighed just over 100kg on stage. I was in Nabba Open Men Class 3 which i won uncontested. I was onstage with class 2 and there are a couple of pics of me with the deservedly Overall winner Richard Parnham who came in super shredded and looked amazing.

Didn't come in as lean or as dry as I would have liked, came in better at the southerns this weekend just been. Will post up pics when they come through.

Very cool, mate. Sucks that you were the only one in your class though. :(

Has your upper body grown heaps recently? Your wheels are huge as always, but they seem more proportional to the rest of you now too. Whatever it is, looking good!

Yeah it is a shame but without sounding to arrogant I'm not looking at winning my class at regionals anymore. I want overall titles, so it's the overall lineup I focus on. As I saw at the southern hemisphere champs on the weekend, class 3 is a very competitive class internationally, the 2 top guys in the whole show were both in my class so that's the level I'm aiming for now.

As far as proportions go I have done a lot of work trying to be more symmetrical. My chest could still come a bit but arms and delts are definately catching up to legs. I've got another 19 weeks till the nationals to make a few tweaks so hopefully I can get it spot on next time.

You look way better in proportion than last year.

Just 2 quick points I see, you let yourself get covered in the rear double bicep pose...just think zero points if they can't see your biceps bro and you'll reset yourself and cover their biceps. And lean back, which I guess u cudnt cos it would touch the guys arms...but go up on stage with a slight attitude and dominate your space, make them feel like they're encroaching on your space.

And you have the largest glutes in that lineup so they need to be shredded, amen. Shredded would make u stand out, and give the Glute/hammy tie-in a better look. Mark Stewart did this pretty well it paid off in side pose as well as rear shots.

But your physique is now less about your legs IMO and that's good bro....awesome

Yur Chest and side tricep pose look better than Richards by a long shot, but camera may have caught u both in a position that doesn't represent what the judges saw. It's your best pose for me

Yeah it was a small stage Android and there was a bit if Argy Bargey to get in front. Well played by Richard to get in front of everyone lol. I won't be making that mistake again. Those pics don't really show how vascular Richard was on the day. If you were on Facebook you would see more (Luddite :pfft: )

The plan for the nationals is definately take shredded to the next level.

  • 2 weeks later...
  • 4 months later...

Just thought I'd throw a couple of pics from the 2012 Nabba WFF nationals in this thread for a comparison. Weighed in at 99.5kg and although I didn't win my class, placed 2nd to the incredibly shredded Yoram Kalev, I feel my condition was improved from the earlier shows I did this year and I also improved my chest and arms.

Big off season this year, not competing till the end of year shows next year. Good start to my off season, already sitting at 118kg :shifty:

Going to give myself at least 16 weeks next time to diet super hard and come in shredded to the next level

Good work mate.

Honestly bro you have to come in more shredded next time to destroy your opponents. You've got enough size to work with and it's not like you're not lean - Just need to get leaner.

I think the biggest thing you can bring up is your hamstrings bro. From the back poses they look insane and compliment your back thickness.. This will be even more evident if you come in super lean like you intend to.

But for some reason from the side poses it just doesn't give you justice... Is it the posing? :?

From what I can see if you can nail all those... You would be pretty tough to beat i reckon.

As much as people will hate me for saying this but why not try coming in at like 93-95kg and see how that looks like?

Just my 2 cents again good job man.

Cheers Ninja :)

Thanks for the feedback Loochi. Absolutely agree I need to get more shredded if I want to challenge for an overall title. Condition is my number one goal next year. I learnt so many new things this cut and I'm sure I will be able to put it together next year. Weight is not even an issue for me. If I come in at 90kg but i'm shredded as hell I will be happy. I am actually having an offseason this year unlike last year so it's unlikely I will be much lighter (I def hope to put on a bit more size), but yeah weight is irrelevant.

You know my hams aren't to bad man, but I can work on them for sure. Those pics not the greatest. Here's a better one.

Great pics from a busy year mate, with the amount of size you have built you can certainly share the stage and not be out massed by pretty much anyone on the local scene.

Shredded you will be very hard to beat as you have so much thickness.

I agree that your hammies are pretty dam large! They hang off the leg, once you dial in really tight they will be friigin impressive, I think Loochi is on the right track, at 93-95 ish you will be very hard to beat indeed.

Best of luck with your progress next year!

f*ck dude if you actually got to the 90-95 kg mark (I reckon low 90's) man that hamstring could be poppin eh...... I can imagine it... I think that style of posing you're doing also makes the hamstring look weaker than what it actually is.

I reckon you'll get there. Just don't blow up too much in the offse-- .. Oh wait.. :pfft:

That's a good photo mate.
