I saw a post where someone was complaining about decent chalk. I used to be an avid rock climber and we used to get ours from the local chemist. Worked a bomb. Link for those who might be interested.

lol the uni gym i go to banned chalk.

theres spray on stuff you can use for grip, when i was i aus a dude at the gym i went to had some and i tried it and it seemed to work pretty well. anyone know what the stuff is? keen to get some

Called "Liquid Chalk" Have not seen it here yet. Apparently very $ as well.

"Some liquid-chalk mixtures for climbing are made with magnesium carbonate, colophony and ethanol or some other alcohol which dissolves colophony and evaporates fast enough from the solution (as isopropyl alcohol or methanol). Sometimes, an additive for aroma is included, because of the bad smell of spirit."
