Yes, it will be a long day, but a good move to bring it back to a 1 day event.

This is the first time since 2001 that I haven't competed at the NZFBB Nationals, and it has been a two day event since 2003 after 160 competitors competed at the 2002 Nationals and made it a VERY LONG day!

The big difference now is that routines to music won't be performed at the pre-judging (except for Mixed Pairs and Fitness), so it will make it easier to fit both sessions in one day. I competed at the NABBA Nationals this year, and even though there were just under 100 competitors (fewer than usual), having it all done on the same day worked well. The big problem with a 2 day event (from a competitor's point of view) was having to stay tanned or retanning for an extra day plus maintaining condition over 2 days. Also, there was the extra expense for competitors and spectators from out of town having to stay an extra night.

Hi guys, so far we are looking at about 140 competitors for the NZFBB Nats. I have seen some of the bodys and they look Excellent so lets all go along and support the competitors as they have work hard to look good and they need you to show them how good they are.

HOG.

yeah kingsnorth looked really good. and his trunks did too :pfft:

also sala has a good chance. it hard to make a guess when its so close

u really have to wait till all overall winners are getting compared next to each other.

also by the night show some peoples conditioning would have changed.

and im guessing the overall judging is done when they area ll on stage together after the routines....? anybody comfirm this for me?

Crikey, that was a looooooooong day! Well done to Mike Kingsnorth and Jo Stewart, well deserved winners. Both were pushed hard in quality line ups. The Open Men's line ups were wicked, and to come out on top was a massive effort.

Gotta make mention of Supre Sos and Daniel Hibbs, flying the flag for the light weight classes. Supre packs a lot of muscle onto that frame, and Daniel had some serious glutes and hammies.
