Really sore wrist.

Hey, so last week on monday I did chest and triceps, and on the wednesday I woke up with a really sore right wrist. I then did shoulders and traps on thursday and was kinda sore when I did the shoulder press.

The next day I did back and biceps and it was really sore when I tryed to get the weight up for the dumbell bicep curls, so i left it to the next day.

Ok so now its tuesday for my chest and tricep and I cannot get the weight up for dumbell bench press. My right wrist is really sore and just cant get it up, nothing more I can say. I dont wanna damage it more.

I dont know how I got this sore wrist... The only thing I changed through out the whole week was focussing on slow controlled downwards/negative reps. Mayb that hurt it? Or when I was doing bench dips. That puts alot of pressure on ur wrists.

But I dont know I just woke up with it a few days after my last workout. Nothing happened during the workout that made me stop.

In that same wrist I have a hard time doing dumbell curls with heavy weight, so I normally drop the weight cause it hurts. Like when I have to lower the weight I have to do it real slow or I get pain. But goes away if I drop weight.

Any advice?

Hey mate . Ive had this problem in my wrist for a long time now and all i can say is it comes and goes. Id definately get it checked out and at least lay off the weights for a few days to a week. Your gains arent going to go anywhere. What has helped me is using wrist wraps ( powerlifting ones ) and wrapping them nice and tight. I now only get pain when doing barbell curls and sometimes on back day. Sometimes at the end of the set i cant even let go of the bar , i have to sqeeze it for a few seconds. Hope it clears up for you mate.

wow this wrist is so gay.. I havent dont chest and trics for 12 days now and my last work out was 6 days ago. Will I be losing any gains?

My wrist is fine for use but today again I tryed to dumbell bench press and I can get the weight up fine(not like 3 days ago) its just the little bone on the side of the wrist feels kinda burised when I do the repetitions... It feels fine atm but really annoying thers still bit of pain under heavy load.

Must I wait till its 100%? :(((

Wats the longest time you have taken off? And did u see any muscle lose?

Hey, so i did shoulders the other day with extremely light weight to get back into it. Didnt have any pain the next day or during the workout and it was fine but now my whole hand mainly in the meaty parts have a pin like sensation every now and then and I dont wanna work out with it. My wrist is really weak and gets what i think is tired after I use it for a while.

Might be an obvious one, but do you use a mouse a bit? I've found it fairly common amongst guys who train and use computers that they get pain in the wrists due to a kind of RSI, basically your wrist is already weakened from training and the small movements from using your mouse are putting extra pressure on it.
