Loose Kat, touched with 220? Freak!

not really...Panzer is good for 240 IMO with the right shirt and a little more tech work. He gets awesome carryover considering his raw is 160. The fella is built for benching.

This loose Katana will be a good training shirt 8)

Yeah absolutely aware he is good for more, I'm just mirin' that he can press 220 with a loose kat

Yeah just feels strange having the loose fit around the arms! Steak was saying the power is in the bench plate, and that was jacked hard!

Hopefully with the 50, there will be some bigger numbers!

Tumble weeds in your journal Panzer...better get cleaning

haha..ok.....I want to forget the efforts of this week but will document for prosperity's sake.

Wednesday was squats and I went into the gym feeling good. I'm not sure what has happened but that didn't correspond to big lifting.

Plenty of stretching/agility and rollering.

Long story short, 15 odd sets of squatting, and I reached 180 for sets of 2....was meant to be an easy 3. A month ago it was 220 for 3 easy. I'm benching more than this.....sad!

Had a twinge in my back the day before, but stretched that out.....so I'm honestly stumped. Perhaps hitting 1RM's at max effort for the past couple of months is the reason? Not sure

Tonight was deads, once again plenty of warming up. 3RMs, no belt.

2 x 60 x 10

1 x 100 x 3

1 x 140 x 3

1 x 180 x 3

6 x 200 x 3 (mostly achieved 1 or 2 reps)

Belt on

4 x 200 x 3 (1 rep for these as well)

CG Bench

2 x 60 x 5

4 x 100 x 5

2 x 120 x 5

CG felt ok, although shoulders still sore from Monday.

Deadz......I don't know.....not happy.

Back to Sheiko Monday for awhile. Perhaps this old bod of mine is worn out, diet feels good, sleeping well. Maybe I need the Sheiko volume.

Bring on Monday!!!!

Thanks guys, was an awesome day!

Still haven't mastered that super cent yet so looking forward to seeing how far I can push it!

Also got a new superkat so even keener seeing what that can do!

See you all at the Aucklands!

Been awhile since last journal update.....

Auckland Champs on Sat, had an awesome day with the CBC Whanau and caught up with a few mates from yester-year. So many gyms in the past attended but small city and no doubt you bump into dudes you knew 10years plus ago!

Went into comp feeling strong, was only 3 weeks of training following the March novice so I knew I'd be in a similar position strength wise at this one. Hadn't pushed the squat suit to it's extreme yet so was keen to take the weights up a notch.

Squat

250kg -Good

260kg - Good

272.5kg - Missed (Depth)

272.5 was sooooo close, was sitting just on parallel which was good enough for a few other competitors, but not for me. Oh well.....know it's doable next time.

Bench

215kg - Good

220kg - Missed

220kg - Missed

Figure a combination of the shirt has had enough, I was little under weight so didn't fill it out enough....and perhaps I was abit smashed after the squat. Either way, the shirt is retiring to gym only.....and the SuperKat will make it's debut at the North Islands in June.

Deadlift

230kg - Good

240kg - Good

245kg - Missed (uneven lockout I think?)

Deadlift's not my thing.....going to put some serious work into it over the next 9 weeks

715kg total....best so far. 2nd in weight class....and I think around 4th overall if there was such a thing.

Going to spot/load at the CBC comp and concentrate on training for the North Islands.

Thanks bro, gonna aim for a 280, 230, 260....more if the SuperKat performs well and I get into a velocity or my centurion for the deadlifting.

Got an issue with grip in my right hand, so plenty of farmers walks and partials is in order for the next few weeks.

bench plateu ... you were doing 220 before xmas. - may need to mix up training a bit more - maybe some bb training for a few weeks to blast the chest as a single group??? 715 is a good total though ... is a game of inches sometimes - not far off my total now bro.
