Ive been using the Qoleum Rub under my elbow sleeves during training and using the gel after training. Its better than deep heat.

I think you'll find that the high rep pressdowns (200+/day) along with icing the elbows after training will help. Contrast showering them helps too.

So far as getting the tendons conditioned we have added reverse curls (had to start light) and dropped the weight on direct bicep work then finishing with lots of forearm stretches. Combined it all helps and I dont suffer as much as I used too.

couple of questions:

do I do the pressdowns every day?

do I do them before/during/after training?

as for the bicep thing, i have had a pain in my forearms before from going too heavy on curls (feels like shin splints and i have to let go of the bar really slowly at end of a set) but dont think this is the same thing as that never affected me for benching. i dunno though, maybe it's related?

didnt do my usual deadlifts (gave u after 3 sets, wasnt feeling it)

did somether shit

pullups-5 sets, highest was 12 reps (going pretty slow)

bent over db rows-2 sets

deadlifts-3 sets

row machine-5 sets

pull-down machine-5 sets

meant to start doing shrugs but forgot. might do them tomorrow

also did my ~200 light reps of pressdown. elbow actually felt better afterwards, cheers for the tip guys, much appreciated.

have a feeling im going to be writing about how fucked it is tomorrow though (chest/tris)

elbow sore as f*ck, worse than yesterday. didnt affect lifts, but was almost unbearably sore between sets. have gotten sore elbow from doing squats before and wonder if maybe it (squats) is the cause of the problem for me, or at least a major contributing factor.

might wrap it up with a bandage or some shit next legs day, see if that helps

hmmm could be a good idea. my leg workout used to revolve around this piece of sht. see how i go tomorrow for chest (light pressing only edition). if its not looking good i will do as you say the following day (legs)

also chest fly machine in between sets of dips. started with stack, dropped down so i was getting 7 reps every set and then superset each with 5 or so lighter reps.

light pressdowns + few heavier sets.

elbows feel much better!

done. forgot to do my press-downs, but elbow not sore, (can feel it a little, but literally <10% what it was last time i did squats).

might start doing couple high rep sets leg press. ie 4 pps 30 reps then 5 pps 20 reps like i was doing last year

quick update:

wouldnt really say ive been doing much lifting lately. mainly just focusing on staying safe.

but have been receiving quite a few compliments when out about my facial symmetry and also the width of my nose:distance between the eyes ratio. the distance from my pupils to the tip of the nose is also aesthetically pleasing apparantly.

so went to moana pool today, chilling in the spa and sht with my homies. if youve ever been to the spa there, you'll know its pretty hot. on the sign it says dont go in for more than 20mins.

so anyway obviously im checking out bitches and sht from the spa, next thing get this awkward boner. at this point im just thinking whatever, who cares, no-one can see it being in the spa.

thing is im wearing like this pair of my brother's fitted calvin klein shorts, and i swear they are shrinking in the hot water.

the shorts getting tighter is not helping get rid of my problem, and im starting to get seriously hot. sweat is pissing down my forehead and im feeling nauseous.

everone is keen to leave the spa for a cooler pool but im just like "nah im fine here". they all look at me like WTF, (ive been in the spa about 30min longer than everone else) and the heat is visibly effecting me.

i know i cant leave though, the pool is packed and the shorts are rediculously tight. people will see my boner and point and laugh. i start getting desperate and look at middle aged men and try and have gay thoughts. doesnt work...too many sluzzas around and shorts are too tight.

spend the rest of the time there in the colder pools. lifeguard keeps following me around (pretty sure he's been assigned to specifically watch me). leave the pool once i stop feeling dizzy. have to almost rip the shorts to get them off.

throw up in the carpark outside the pool. get asked if i am ok to drive and someone says "take his keys" (people think im drunk). try to explain but i still cant string coherant sentences together and have give my keys to a mate.

yeah to be perfectly honest that probably is the underlying problem. actually tried to get beta blockers last year, went in to see the doctor and stuff, (got real nervous while waiting in the waiting room, pretty sure people were looking at me). talked to doctor and he gave me a follow up appointment.

thing is i didn't go to the follow up because I was too anxious about having to wait in the waiting room and also about having to talk to the receptionist again

haven't really lifted very often for a while now, since my hands are sore (got a few callouses) and stubbed my toe the other day, so just having some time off to recover.

also not really finding the time for gym with my busy schedule (some days 3hrs lectures/day) and had to write a 200 word case summary which was due Monday so pretty much took up my whole weekend.

also i haven't been eating that well because my tongue hurts and has some sort of ulcers on it which hurt whenever i drink a 'V' so i think that excessive consumption of this beverage may be the cause.

sometimes i wonder what my life would be like if i had never been born

gotta keep studying, otherwise id have nothing to do except stuff i like, and then id probably get an endorphin overdose and die.

could be right about the tongue thing. im only eating like 1 vegetable/day atm (taking a multi though).

straps...hmm...only just getting used to the idea of a belt. seems like it could lead to a progressive phaggotry of buying increasing amounts of gym gear. like what next? gloves? knee wraps? elbow wraps?????? a bench suit?????

goals for week:

-less energy drinks more protein shakes

-lift at least 2 times this week

-stay safe
