Hows it going guys, im new to this forum.

I started weight training for rugby halfway through last year and got obsessed with seeing my body changing so much and my muscles growing. I have just turned 17 and i am wanting to start out in bodybuilding .. Im just looking for some advice on what body parts of mine are lagging and suitable workouts i could do to bring them up to scratch and if i work hard what would be the time frame in that i could start to think about competing. My nutrition is pretty clean with 6-7 meals a day and i am currently 5ft7'' and 79 kgs. I know i cant pose for sh*t as i have no idea what im doing, if a photo of any other position would help just say

Any advice would be appreciated :)

Cheers MattyB

Hahaha!

As stated, just focus on overall mass for the mean time. You'll pick up things on the site and realize different exercises target different parts of the muscles. Some exercises will build width and thickness where as some can just build thickness and things like that.

Also try take note of how you react to some foods. Some can make you look leaner the day after and things like that. It will come in handy if you plan on doing a show.

Not bad at all, MattyB. For a first attempt at posing, you've made a pretty good job of it!

As others have said, you've got good quads already. If I had to pick a lagging body part, I'd say focus on bringing up your chest and lats. Lats in particular will give you that cool V-taper. :)
