Drink Bottle for the Gym

What kind of drink bottle do people use at the gym?

I use to use an empty Powerade Bottle but read somewhere that

the chemicals in the plastic are bad for you, especially when you heat it.

Which is what I used to do, I use to wash it out with hot water which supposedly activates the chemicals further.

got proof that the drink bottles do actually realease these chemicals... what are the chemicals? and how is it harmful? and exactly how long is it before they are released from the bottle?

people just repeat things theyve heard off someone whose heard it off someone else.

hard facts only interest me.

chill out mate.

its no big deal and anything to get all worked up and worried over... if you wanna live your life worrying about possible chemicals coming out of a plastic bottle then cool for you.

everyone just jumps on these bandwagons and are blinded by there tunnel vision that they totally forget about what else they are doing to their bodies... take you for example, your going on about this but u take fucking steroids made in peoples kitchens.

i bet half of people on the research and reporting team of that subject either smoke, take drugs, drink alcohol and probably all eat bad food which can all f*ck you up.

its rediculous. people have been drinking out of and been re using plastic bottles for decades.

LOL! Thankyou Chillicat. I'm glad you said that. I didn't want to be the first to admit it, but I keep mine until they start going green at the bottom.

I figure a thin film of mould helps develop your immune system, and protects you from those nasty leaching plastic chemicals at the same time.

What is rediculous (sic) is your naive view that the brief amount of time humans have been drinking out of plastic is anywhere near enough for a trend to develop. Plus, in those (very few) decades, the amount of plastic we use has increased exponentially, further limiting the relevancy of your point. And futher yet, in those decades, there certainly have been studies that have shown that BPA is harmful.

We all take risks and choose things which we know are harmful. But just because we do one thing that is/may be harmful, does not then mean we should forgo caution for everything else. That is simply illogical.

im saying it is rediculous that people would do something proven to be harmful such as smoking cigarettes yet will fuss over a plastic bottle thats been sitting around for a week or two... is what i said really that hard to swallow?
