Ummm timelines seem a bit blurred? Maybe he slept through the wake up call?

It was probably used as part of an excuse for the reason he began dealing. Having a drug addiction can be looked upon as a problem so the judge may of taken a lighter sentence. That or the media just decided to throw that in to try and spice up the story.

seen him compete a few times was kicking everyones ass in the juniors a couple of years ago had awesome legs and conditioning not the first bodybuilder to let this sport take over and ruin his life and sadly won,t be the last

Article not that bad. 90% of it is just quoting what was said in court and the other 10% was summarising the outcome and background. It was his lawyer that raised the point that he was addicted to steroids.

Sad to see someone get caught up in that stuff. i remember him from nelson cityfitness always seemed like nice guy. but im sure he knew the risks.

Trained with this guy a fair few times in Nelson. Not too bad of a guy, although pretty big in the steroid scene down there.

Feel a bit sorry for him having to serve that long but that's the risk he chose to take when he started dealing.

He said on facebook he's looking at writing a book while he's inside about bodybuilding and drug use.
