Protein intake whilst cutting

What proportion of calories does your protein intake make up?

Im cutting atm starting weight 95kg and wanna know how much protein I should be getting in? Currently It's about 230-250g per day. I've seen some guys taking in 300g plus and they are smaller than I am :shock: But that seems a bit overkill?

I understand there is huge debate as to how much is necessary but what are people thoughts? particularly those that have dieted down to contest conditioning levels.

I am 94kg Now and still cutting my macros are currently

218.3g Carbs

89.2g Fat

277g Protein

2784 Calories

Iv never counted calories before really.
