killer torso

Thanks mate

Nice wings Brah! Do you do rack pulls? No1 for traps imo

Cheers. I don't do them often. I do ugly bb shrugs haha they worked

+1 for rack pulls... they're great for the lower traps too really build up big thick back.

Have either of you done partial deads? (Lower the bar to just below the knee/mid shin and back up). If yeah, how'd you find them? Hesitant to do rack deads again cause I start to get a little sloppy with form

I have, but you can't max out on the weight without having to worry about not screwing your knees up as the bar travels past them. With rack pulls I can do the most weight I can possibly lift. Just need to be super strict with the form... I have a rule that I put the bar down on the rack between each rep and I make sure both sides of the bar touch same time every time so that I know I'm not twisting my body.

We're not powerlifters after all. :)

I'll TRY give it a fair go and let you know in about 8 weeks or so

Sweet. Post a comparison pic in 8 weeks... if you give them a good go I'm sure you'll thicken up the whole traps a lot.

I go through phases when I enjoy this movement a lot and it has over the years contributed greatly to my mid and upper back thickness. I do however find after a while when my strength gets to a certain level that I don't recover well from it and because of the ability to shift heavy (for me) weight that my joints and tendons seem to suffer.

That's a good point Harry, I tend to only do them once a month for that reason... or if I am focusing on building them up I don't do them for much longer than a month of back workouts before I need a break. Sometimes it takes me up to a week for my back to fully recuperate from them.

I was alternating rack deads, floor deads and deficit deads from workout to workout for a while. That worked out well for me. I haven't done much deadlifting in a while though so I best get my a into g.

Your joints hurt 'cause you old brah

On a serious not, did you find deficit deads used too much leg?

hurt my feelings!!

Actually no I didn't find that at all. I really liked the deficit deads, smashed my back from top to bottom. Hard work but good!
