Having woke up this morning and established a new PB of consecutive days without dying I`ve decided its time for another log.

I pulled up short by 3 reps last year then eventually tore a quad at the local powerlifting so time for another crack.

Started out conservatively due to 4 weeks off without bursting a fufu valve;

60kgs x 10

60kgs x 10

80kgs x 10

100kgs x 10

120kgs x 10

120kgs x 10

120kgs x 10

Not easy after a lay off but got through.

Sorry went walkabout for 4 weeks.

Sunday October 16 was nearly curtains.

In medical terms for the purist I had a surging accelerator which coupled with a blocked fuel line which almost resulted in a blown motor.

In basic terms it was atrial fibulation attacking a partial blocked coronary artery. This led a relatively lengthy session in the workshop and thus suspended my brand new log.

Coupled with a shitload of scar tissue from my torn quad earlier in the year and quaffing betaloc the TAB are now offering better odds than Namibia winning the RWC for this current log.

Anyway thats the BS out the way and now on with the challenge.

I ground out 20 squats with 100kgs yesterday to get the feel of it and although massively off the pace I'm still up for it.

I wouldnt miss it!! sounds like everyone is adding huge poundages to their PBs lately so I'll looking forward to being there.night get some good video footage too,

I gave NZMM my lifting gear the other day. Looks like he intends on making an entrance at this years event.

Better workout today. Actually felt like training and on day two of a creatine load.

Warmed up with horizontal leg press, one legged, plus the hip abductor machine....not sure whats its proper name is but the one that the guys get off on every time a female looks ready to use.

Also did heaps of shoulder and back stretches.

Squats

60kgs x 15

60kgs x 10

80kgs x 5

100kgs x 10

120kgs x 20

last set hurt..... eyes left on mirror like fried eggs etc.Still trying to figure out how I did reps of 140 x 20 and 185 x 10 last year and dont want these to become distant memories.

Once into the groove the program is sound though and will alternate the workouts between high and low reps.

reminds me of this old gem mate...

A mechanic was removing a cylinder-head from the motor of a Harley

motorcycle when he spotted a well-known cardiologist in his shop.

The cardiologist was there waiting for the service manager to come

and take a look at his bike when the mechanic shouted across the garage.

"Hey, Doc, want to take a look at this?"

The cardiologist paused, smiled and leaned over, then whispered to

the mechanic..........

"Try doing it with the engine running."

there is also a saying that you cant run a ferrari on shit oil.

I`m certainly not a ferrari but I'm not stuffing Mcdonalds down my throat anymore either.

Might have to change my Avatar...as I'm starting to have a bit too much in common with MMRS!

Weights now 102 down from 112 six weeks ago.
