Sup guys!

Just wanted to share with you my progress picture. I have been 'reverse' dieting and have kept the fat gain to a minimum..! Weighing at 72kg's as of today with some visible abdominal muscles poking out.

Some of you may remember I competed early July this year where I weighed 68.4 kg's (I think 69 on the day). Like the theory I tested of dieting down slow, I've been adding back food slowly to stay some what 'lean'.

I think this could be due to

A) From the 'reverse diet' I just mentioned or

B) Because I gained muscle in my 2010 bulk and retained it in 2011 cutting, it could have helped immensely in keeping the fat away since as you know, muscle burns fat or whatever the say is. Sadly it didn't do anything for the body hair :pfft: - chest hairy as f*ck but looks aesthetic none the less. :lol:

I have gained ½ inch on the following

-waist :(

-arms :D

-legs :D

-calves :D

I am very pleased with the results.. This will allow me to ascend into further levels of condition when the time comes for me to compete again.. The way I see it, you can eat whatever is in sight, disregard the amount of food you eat and gain alot of fat and muscle.. But at the end of the day, the amount of muscle you gain in that year or whatever time you set yourself is limited, so may as well do it slowly and keep fat gain to a minimum. Just my 2 cents.

Next Sunday I am going to the states. I want ot check out my competitions there and see what I am going to get myself into.. I will test out another theory of trying to retain my muscle / look and let you know how it works..

I dropped them reallllly slowly. basically around 1-2g of carbs a week... :shifty: :pfft: worked like a charm though! (in terms of keeping my strength, energy and keeping the cravings down)

As for bulking, adding 5g of fat a month and 20g of carbs per EDIT** PER TWO weekS. Haven't touched my protein since trace macro's from the carb sources will be more than enough : )

No use of supplements, replaced protein with lentils :lol: what a 'natural cnut'.

Thanks mate, doubt it though. I'm pretty sure Daniel Hibbs / Peter Hunt are in alot better condition. I've had my days where I didn't bother counting and ate the made take outs.. can you blame me though? I dieted for 8 months for my show lol! Need a lil break.. going to america next sunday so I'm pretty curious to see how my physique will look.. Kinda looking forward for the holiday but at the same time I really wnated to continue the progress. Worse comes to worse, I will just do a small cut to get back to where I am now and continue on I guess =/ ... Or dirty bulk for a 2-3 years before I hit that dere stage :grin:

Gonna get some bitches in America? Try not to get any 14 year olds because according to this site, that's when they're ripe.

Right now, if you aren't dieting for a show, I don't see diet mattering (to a point). Like yeah, you want to eat clean so you can stay lean but at the same time you don't give a f*ck, so no, I don't blame you for eating 'shit' food.

jkz :grin: Not far from it though.. 5'7. Short I guess? I don't feel short, but I know for sure I ain't tall.. :? Thanks barboog. But they are by far the worst body part of mine and they need catching up to do.. Can't wait to hit a mean front double bicep, nice sweeping tri's and some what peaks :pfft: and ofcourse, seperation between the two!! :doh:

Yeah exactly mate. I don't think it matters too much, point is atleast I proved a point to myself and to anyone else who was following / curious . I woulda continued on if I didn't go to the states. The next experiment I want to do is allow myself an 'approximation' of calories a day in the states with sufficient protein intake and see how my physique looks... Hopefully it 'maintains' ........ If I go out late at night though, I'ma disregard the whole theory! HEY. I will be on holiday. gotta enjoy it! I still think it's possible to accomplish though, just because I won't be eating my regular meals etc :nod:

I'll keep y'all updated anyway on how it goes.. Oh and, who said I was eating clean :shifty: :lol:

h1: Thanks mate, I feel like they've gotten smaller due to them not being as lean and hairy :pfft: - My opinion would be to squat LOW. Some claim they go ATG but when I go train with them they don't even go as low as possible.. The lower the better I reckon! Or if you're uncomfortable with that, find out what works for you in terms of rep range, sets and exercises :nod:

Infact I think my legs look trashy in this photo :lol: - I mean, the picture doesn't do them justice.. In my opinion! But I feel my arms are finally starting to grow : )

IT............... Sorta is discipline I guess, but because I'm a IIFYM type of guy, it helps my sanity a great deal.. I can live like this forever I reckon. Just not sure how I will sustain it in my journey to America. Worse comes to worse like I said, atleast I proved my point :pfft: but I will do my best to keep in shape!

I am VERY pleased with the results of the method I used to diet and the reverse diet :nod: - I feel like it's applying science and testing it out practically and achieving just makes me so happy. - As for the rebound,

Will I have put more size on with a rebound? Definitely. But that will be alot of fat too which later on you will need to get rid of so I think it's pointless in a way. I guess it's down to your preference, if you want to get big fast, the catch is you will put on fat too, if you want to do it slowly, the catch is, you won't put on muscle all that fast. Just my 2cents!

IFFYM or no IFFYM its still a lot od discipline not to over induldge, especially after a show..to be able to say thats enough must have been tough, lol.

with my rebound i pigged out that day and the next day and gained like 6kg and was still shredded. it was the 3rd day where i started to notice fat gain. i guess if you mixed both methods it would work well, to get the initial rebound for a day or two with minimal fat gain, then begin the reverse diet to keep the fat down. ill prob try this next time i compete
